We came here on a busy Friday evening. Despite the bustle, the wait staff was extremely attentive and we had great service. The atmosphere was great too.Unfortunately, that was the extent of my good experience. To start, we got the whipped ricotta, which came with crusty bread. The ricotta tasted so bland, and the bread was too crusty and scraped the roof of my mouth; I know this sounds like an odd complaint but the texture really took the joy out of eating bread. We got pasta for our entrees. They were just average. My companion said her fusilli lunghi was too salty. I thought the eggplant in my bucatini alla norma was good.Overall, I expected more for the amount of money we paid, but the atmosphere was good and the service great.

It's okay, the food was actually pretty good but not in comparison to what you pay for, and the wait was a bit of a let down, especially since we made reservations and ordered ahead.

Really awesome dining experience. Started off with a delicious bourbon cocktail. Whipped ricotta appetizer was decadent and plenty of food to share with 4. Delicate squash app was really good although probably wouldn’t order it again. Oysters were excellent. The Angel hair with crab was pretty good, prob would order something different next time. My wife’s peppery/cheesy pasta was amazing. Atmosphere was great, we stayed 2.5 hours and felt like an hour. Service was top notch.

Long Weekend escape to Charleston SC with my husband.Le Farfalle was on the top of the recommendation list from a friend. It did not disappoint! Charming indoors & outdoors & off the beaten path. When in Charleston you must have Oysters! The Whipped Ricotta with honey & fresh warm bread delicious! The Lamb Shank with creamy Polenta & the spicy puttnesca sauce was incredible! Lastly the Carrot Cake that tasted like a homemade dessert was also wonderful. Cant wait to be back.

Loved the decor and feel. Focaccia app was warm and perfect. The pear salad excellent. The soup and squash apps were awful and missed the mark. Soup too thin and too much meat. Squash was hard as a rock. Mains were great.. pasta and lamb shank was fantastic. Dessert really good too.

Service was outstanding. White table cloths and a great atmosphere. There was a good crowd on a Friday night. We had several appetizers the best item was the meatballs, but it was downhill from there. They emphasized quantity over quality. All they need is a new chef.

My husband and I ate at La Farfalle on our first night in Charleston, and nothing else compared. We loved everything we ordered, most notably the whipped ricotta, but the best part was our server, Jack R. He was incredible! So knowledgable about the menu, and about food/wine in general and gave us a ton of other great recs for our trip! He was incredibly warm and friendly and we cannot say enough great things about the service he provided. The food was excellent, he was even better! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

This was by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had happen. We went to the restaurant for a friends birthday visiting Charleston and arrived at 9:15. The waitress Taylor was beyond HORRIFIC, we ordered food around 9:35 and didn't receive our entrees until 10:52. Multiple times we had to ask for waters, at one point we had to track the waitress down because she hadn't come to our table for over 30 minutes to order additional drinks. We asked for the manager to come over to our table and we let her know about the service, the manager Taryn Barney informed us she would look into the matter and come back. The manager NEVER returned to our table and her and the waitress stood behind the bar mocking us and laughing at us. It truly was the most unreal thing any of us had witnessed. When it came time for the birthday cake to be delivered to our table, a waitress came to our table threw the cake to the edge of the table, not even placing it in front of the birthday girl and says "thank you thank you" after we had witnessed other tables being brought the same birthday cake with happy birthday songs attached to it. We all sat there in shock, not once did the manager come back and apologize or the waitress. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, for the price we paid, the service was APPALLING. To have 2 grown women mock a party of other women celebrating a birthday was so unprofessional and for there to be NO apology once from the staff was unbelievable. If you are looking to dine in, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST IT. Taylor and Taryn, I would suggest some class and training to learn proper customer service.

This is officially one of my top five favorite places to eat in Charleston. The menu is a traditional Italian style with small plate starters, pasta second course and a larger meat course. You cannot make a bad menu selection. Everything is well done and delicious. Don’t skip desert and it’s accompanied cocktails.

Service and food quality exceeded expectations. Desert menu was limited however that Chocolate cake was off the charts amazing. Highly recommended dinner out on the patio
