Most excellent decision to visit Laurel - awesome food, wonderful service - large windows allow you to be seen enjoying drinks and fun - highly recommend . . .
The menu is not overly large, but this allowed us to enjoy most of the appetizer and side dishes. We never got to the main course, but we left happy none-the-less.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Really enjoyed the cozy, intimate feel of the restaurant. Seemed a little pricey: 2 entrees, 1 tapas, and 2 drinks came to $135. This isn't unusual for restaurants in this area, but was more than I expected.
Laurel just zoomed right to my Top 5 places in the Holy City. Wonderful menu, thoughtful and carefully curated wine and beer list, good drinks, excellent food. Got to get here again. Soon.
A lovely intimate space. Great for ladies night out or date night.
The menu online was different from the menu in the restaurant. Main entrees were limited in choice. Food very good! Appreciated willingness to change vegetable. Donât understand why two couples have to evenly divide the bill rather than have your own bill. Doesnât seem to be an issue with any other restaurant. Little noisy when restaurant is full.
Meh. Restaurant had been highly recommended but we were not at all impressed with atmosphere, noise level, or food. Wait staff was great.
Having to give a cc# to secure the reservation almost persuaded me from making it. I am glad I did, as the experience was so nice, but that was a major turn-off.
Jennifer at the bar made our third date night exceptional. She sold us on her recommenations and all were perfect. Cannonborough/Elliotborough is where the cool kids hang out because of restaurants like Laurel.
Bar service was excellent to start & we got several great recommendations for items to order. Sat down at the table and was promptly and kindly greeted by our server who explained several dishes to us when we had questions. We shared the marinated olives, lamb meatballs, mixed mushrooms among the 4 of us and all were delicious and beautifully presented, as was the Iberico Pork and the grilled octopus. The atmosphere was lively and you could tell everyone was enjoying their experience.
