We were on our family trip for the 4th of July weekend and decided to get a nice meal on our second day in SC. This is a small town restaurant with excellent food and service. Our waitress was very helpful, dynamic and friendly, we really had a great time.
The exterior is a little off-puting but the food was delicious and the the waitress 'Tatiana' i think was charming except for her garb.
Our waiter was horrible! She barely looked at us, barely spoke to us didn’t ask if we wanted any drinks and graciously allowed us to have water. She threw our bread on the table, put our food on the other side of the table without letting us move our bread plates. She also brought us our check before asking if we wanted anything else, no! She was also talking and laughing with the customers at the other tables. My friend is transgender so maybe she didn’t like that? Even for the other tables she was not a good waiter. For the setting, there was nice music and super plushy booths. The menu was laminated paper held together with screws. It was also very poorly done in word, make sure to look for the 11pt calibri beers on the back lol. The place was basically empty at 6:30.The food was not good, we ordered and shared the lasagna because we caught the vibe early and thought they couldn’t screw up lasagna. The beef was like it was from a dominos pizza. It was also very grainy. The sauce was okay, a little spicy but I don’t mind that. The pasta had the texture of soggy saltines. We didn’t finish it, because the whole thing is beef, no ricotta and barely any cheese. Our waiter did put a lot of parmesan on top, a good mountain. The parmesan was okay, but the amount made me feel like I was eating at my grandmothers house, lol. Luckily she makes better food. Also we paid like $25 for that lasagna, my wallet is killing me. Don’t waste your money here, and seriously just don’t even consider going people.
The server was from Italy and she was fun to be with. Nice people
Food was amazing. Service staff was nice and had great personalities. Highly recommend!!
Wish I would have read the reviews instead of going by their rankings. The food is way overpriced for what you get. Bruschetta was horrible, bread was cold, probably frozen, we had to put it together ourselves, it came out in separate dishes. My wife said her Chicken Alfredo was mediocre at best. Out of diet coke and we were the first customers of the dinner hour. They should close the doors permanently, or sell it.
Soda was served to us in a can, we had to pour it ourselves. For the price they charged for our dinners I would not expect to have to do that. The food at best was average.
Food and service were really great! Don’t be fooled by the outside of the building, the food is authentic Italian and exceptional.
One of the best Italian restaurant in West Ashley. Good service,
Well..the only thing I can say is “not bad.” Literally. The $48 Chianti was good. No bar service. “No bartender.” Wish I’d known before we got there.
