This was a great experience! He is so knowledgeable, and a great chef also!

Amazing and unique experience - nothing else like it in Charleston! Delicious meal in a beautiful setting, with fascinating commentary to accompany each dish. A must do if you love history and food!

What a fantastic, one-of-a-kind way to experience Charleston history. HIGHLY recommended. Mike is profoundly passionate about bringing historic insight into the dining room, and onto the plate.

Last night my wife and two friends of ours attended the Historic Charleston Supper Club. We were not completely sure what to expect , but Michael our historian, server, and chef, did an absolutely fantastic job! First off, the setting is perfect. The Governor's house Inn is one of Charleston most historic and beautifully maintained homes. The Food was superb, which surprised me a little since Michael uses receipts from the 18th and 19th century. Pro tip, it is BYOB so have fun choosing a wine that might reflect the eras the food is from! Michaels narration is fun for all interests, it combines the best of Charlestons culinary and social history. 100% recommend you do this for a special night out!

This is a fabulous experience for any history loving foodie. Mike Hebb, the host, cook, historian and waiter is a hard act to follow. He is fun, knowledgeable AND can cook up a reciept from the 18th century like nobody's business. The location is a history nerd's dream come true - the dining room of the Edward Rutledge house on Broad street. Rutledge, the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence, also hosted George Washington to dinner - IN THIS DINING ROOM!What's not to like?

This was a fantastic and unique dining experience. The Governor’s House Inn created a perfect venue. Mike is very knowledgeable and an excellent chef and host. Looking for a memorable evening in Charleston? This checks ALL the boxes.

We just had a wonderful early era meal (Christmas dinner) for New Years Eve. The house, from 1805 was incredible. The food was very interesting and explained in detail by Mike. He dressed the part so it made the experience way more interesting. We really enjoyed every course plus learned so much about Charleston History! Exactly what we came to Charleston for. Thanks again for a very interesting experience!

Mike is a brilliant encyclopedia of a historian with great patience, an endless smile, and world class culinary skills. Why eat dinner anywhere else when you can learn about Charleston while filling your belly with delicious foods you’ve probably never tried before? The Charleston Supper Club is not just a meal, it’s an experience. Put this at the top of your list!

This was fantastic! Great food, great history, great new friends! I highly recommend it!

We packed a lot into a 5 day stay in Charleston but this experience really delivered in terms of delicious food, engaging history, authentic atmosphere, and wonderful company. It is truly a unique one-of-a-kind event. We even received the historic recipes for future use. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If you love good food and local history, book it! You won't be disappointed.
