The ambience was excellent. The service was some of the best we have had. The onion soup was spot on. The hibachi preparation while entertaining lacked some aspects of a typical hibachi we enjoyed elsewhere, few veggies, no egg in the rice and finally did not seem to have a great deal of flavor. This place is The Place West of The Ashley for Japanese Cuisine. You will get more than enough for your money. We Always get the Steak and Shrimp combo which comes with your choice of sauces (white sauce for us), onion soup and house salad, which are our preferences. They're other combos but we prefer the Steak and Shrimp. Also keep in my that they do have an early Bird Special between 4:00 -5:00 when your entree is a little less. Early or Not, the food is excellent! But don't take my word for it...Try it for yourself. You will be returning for more! Enjoy!
This was my daughter’s first visit to a hibachi restaurant and I am so glad that we picked this one to be the place where she tried hibachi for the first time. The server(young guy) was super nice and kept my tea glass full. He always kept a smile on his face, even under pressure. The chef that came to our table was funny and friendly. The food was tasty and we didn’t have to wait to long to be seated, even though it was Sunday evening. The buzzy booth was also lots of fun too! It was a nice added bonus to the visit. If you’re ever in Charleston, stop by here because you won’t be disappointed!
Hands down the best hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to. The decor is modern and world class. The bar while you’re waiting on a table is a hidden gem. I had two truly exceptional Old Fashioned cocktails from there. The server and chef were very personable and provided excellent service. The food was amazing. It’s ridiculous how much rice you get and this was the first hibachi restaurant that’s ever offered hot mustard alongside the yum yum and ginger sauce. We have two kids and they were made to feel truly appreciated and valued as well. This hibachi place can’t be beat.
It was 1 1/2 hr wait to sit at a hibachi table. So we sat in the sushi bar area. My husband had 2 sushi rolls both nondescript or memorable. One was supposed to be spicy but didn't taste spicy at all ( if it was good I'd remember the name) I had the filet mignon hibachi dinner. It was ok the meat was tender,small amount grilled veggies. 2 huge mounds of brown rice. It was expensive for the quality of food. It was convient , right next to our hotel. But I wouldn't go there again.

We had a wonderful experience last night. We were entertained while the chef prepared our meals. The food was delicious and cooked as we requested. If I were to think of anything negative, it would only be that it felt a little crowded at the table considering we are still in a COVID environment. #hachiyachs #buzzybooth
