I enjoyed my cappuccino milkshake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top. It was the perfect way to finish our day in Charleston :)
The dark chocolate gelato is amazing! Server was very friendly!
With quality milkshakes, smoothies and ice cream cups, Freddo is an intriguing addition to the street scene in the poshest bit of Charleston's King Street - tucked in among the expensive boutiques and fashion shops. I had a very tasty chocolate milk shake; just right to cool down with on another scorching day. There's a good selection.
Stopped here for a quick snack and really enjoyed the empanadas and smoothies. Highly recommend mixing the strawberry and lemonade on a hot day in Charleston!
I first had this in BA and was pretty thrilled to see it on a long-weekend visit to Charleston. They have Gelato, shakes, Empanadas and Yurba Matte. Weird combo. Stuck with the two scoop Gelato in a cone and both flavors were amazingly good. Great mid-day snack while I waited 90 minutes elsewhere for my table for Oysters. Not cheap but highly recommended.
Great place to stop for a quick bite while shopping on King St. Gourmet empanadas excelled only by the awesome Gelato. Only 2 seats inside and two small tables on the sidewalk, but nobody really lingers, just grab and go
[Empanada review]Overall: Airport-quality empanadas for a premium price.The good: The empanadas were flaky and buttery, and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and quick.The not-so-good: The empanadas were almost completely empty instead of packed with filling. The flavors were dull and uninspiring, and they certainly weren't warm. I've never been more disappointed eating an emapanada than I did with Freddo. Their milkshakes and gelato look good, but I doubt we'll be back.
Empanadas are barely filled. $2 for a table spoon of sauce, and they don't list the price. I do not recommend this place.
The ice cream and macaroons here are top notch.
The empanadas were great, would be nice if more flavors were available. Please add an empanada with cheese only to the menu. Other than that, great spot for a quick bite to eat.
