Wonderful High Tea! I highly recommend this establishment. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious and plentiful. Atmosphere was comfortable, relaxing and friendly.
I would not recommend. First of all the bartender was extremely rude. Had this air about him like we were inconveniencing him. With all the options in Charleston I would not recommend spending your time or money here. You can get better service and food elsewhere. The place was a very strange ambiance it seems as though is trying to be something that it is not. It was not cute it was not cozy and the food was not very good. I would not recommend.
Last week I hosted the most beautiful baby shower/afternoon tea at the East Bay Meeting House for 16 out of town guests. I have attended afternoon tea time at other establishments but this was simply a superior experience.Everything about the party was so absolutely perfect! The setting is world class Charleston with a distinct Parisian bistro feel. Food was expertly prepared and table set with gorgeous linens and vintage china. The generous selection of quiches, tea sandwiches, croissants, scones ,macrons and cake were all so incredibly delicious Owner Robbin K allowed us to use the entire restaurant space for the 2 hour private afternoon party which made it even more luxurious and intimate. Our private server,Claire, was sweet , attentive and kept the tea and Prosecco flowing. I will most definitely return for our romantic date nights and family events- as recent NYC transplants to Charleston , we were so touched by both the quality of food and true hospitality of the East Bay Meeting House.

It’s a welcoming cafe serving Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea.Menu is not extensive, but you’ll find something for everyone. Bar drinks are well crafted. Outdoor seating on charming french bistro table and chairs are available.They operate with a small staff, so this is the place to come when you want to sit back, relax and take your time over your meal.
Great atmosphere, great staff, the owner is very welcoming! We will be back!
Fabulous tea time menu. Just as nice as the Tea Rooms in England. Fun time. Food was great. Will definitely go back.
We had a really lovely afternoon tea here! We had a 7 year-old in our party and I was kind of worried he wouldn't like the food...but I had discussed this with Robin, our host, in advance and he went out of this way to make a special collection of sandwiches for our little guy! He even offered seconds of what the 7 year-old liked! The teas were excellent and the service outstanding! Great experience and we'll definitely do it again next time we're in town!
We had afternoon tea here and it was lovely! We wanted to eat outside and while they don’t typically do tea service outside they were nice enough to accommodate us. The staff was very nice & friendly and checked in on us often. The tea, sandwiches, scones & pastries were very good. We would definitely recommend a visit here.
Went for a beautiful afternoon tea, had great service and enjoyed everything that was served! We've been to many afternoon teas across the UK and this one was right on par with them. Everything made in house, good tea, tasty food and desserts. I will definitely be back.
High tea in afternoon for a small group. Teas were excellent. Some sandwiches and scones were good, others not part of a true high tea and were just average. It was a rainy day, so a nice reprieve from shopping.
