Doar Bros was an excellent stop for a cocktail. Cool vibe and kind staff. We had Stephen as our bartender and he was awesome!
Doar brothers delivers on all fronts: style, taste, and innovative creations. The cocktail list includes normal favorites but their specialty creations aren’t to be missed. The Bourbon and Clyde was a favorite, as was the truffle popcorn and charcuterie board appetizers. Show up early if you can, as seating is limited. But if you can snag a space it’s well worth the trip!
We were in Charleston last week and visited with a friend (who is a bartender). When a bartender recommends a place YOU GO! My husband and I went for a drink with our friend and it was easy to talk and get caught up. The bartenders were efficient and friendly and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. We went another time last week for the charcuterie board (which can also be ordered as a combo meat and cheese platter but not on the menu) and the selections were delicious. Be sure you stop by as it is small and gets busy quickly. Wonderful place!
The reviews speak for themselves! My wife and I were walking the battery and had a hankering for a good cocktail. Just a short walk up meeting street we found Doar Bros. We were seated immediately, but it filled up fast—I’d suggest a reservation if you are planning to stop in. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and the environment lends itself to conversation with your table neighbors. Take all of that away, and I would be here every week just for the cocktails. The Bourbon and Clyde was our favorite, a total experience on its own. The penicillin is a warm treat for a cold day. If I was feeling Ill, that would be the cure.
We really enjoyed the cheese board but that was about it.. the cocktails were so unique some didn’t taste good. I liked 2/4 we tried. Very small place, and the service was slow.
A perfect date night at a perfect bar/restaurant. We were greeted enthusiastically by our affable waiter, served promptly with one of the best cocktails we ever had: The Tina Louise. There was onlyone ribeye cut left, but was large enough for both of us. Cooked to perfection with unbelievable flavor and seasonings! Cheese plate and shrimp cocktail rounded out the meal. The owner/chef was kind enough to come to our table to chat, which was unique. We will definitely be back!! 5 stars easily!
Can only speak for the drinks which were awesome! Stopped in for a pre dinner drink and got a bartender’s choice. Interesting combo of tequila, lime and chocolate but it was delicious!
Met up with an old friend here and we just hung out and drank cocktails. We had just eaten at Hank's...a block away. I had a "Mary Moultre", a Vodka drink, that was just amazing. They have a slew of custom mixed drinks, something for everybody. We were not there to eat, just socialize and drink. Server was very nice and professional. Limited parking.
We came here for after dinner cocktails and genuinely enjoyed every second. The cocktail menu was well thought out, creative, and unique. My husband and I tried 4 different drinks total and they were all delicious. The service was impeccable. I don't have one bad thing to say!
Great place for high end cocktails. The drinks were unique and our servers were very helpful. Definitely will come back when in Charleston.
