I’ve eaten at a lot of the popular seafood restaurants in Charleston and I can honestly say that this place blew me away. Every dish was prepared so delicately and the plating was beautiful. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the beet mignonette was the best way I’ve ever had oysters. The flavors in every dish were phenomenal. It was such a lovely culinary experience. I can honestly say this was my favorite dinner in Charleston.

Best dinner I had in along time! I had an Arnold Palmer for my drink it was amazing I had the blue crab rice with a fried crab on top never had that before and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. It also was a quaint stylish restaurant that was in an old frame home the kitchen you could see it right when you walked in it was clean it was fresh one of the best experiences I’ve had in a really long time

I can't recommend this restaurant enough! From the ambience to the service, from the dishes to the wine selection.I had the most amazing dinner with my husband. We had oysters on ice and roasted oysters, clam chowder, fried calamari, and flan for dessert. Our server was the most lovely and knowledgeable waiter, thanks to him this experience was absolutely perfect.

Wonderful experience! Ambience, service and food was elite.

Superb razor clams + raw oysters. Accommodated our service dog

Exquisite! Each dish has it’s own unique flavors and textures! Run, don’t walk! Highly recommended!

Although I had high hopes for this restaurant, it didn’t come through. Although we had reservations, it took 25 min to be seated. We ate in a second floor room, about 15 feet by 15 feet, which was most likely a bedroom back in the day. The kind of eating room that one would associate with a subdued, relaxing, atmosphere. But, it was actually extremely noisy as waitstaff trudged in, one after the other, or in groups to use the computer entry system located in this room, and to noisily retrieve glasses, silverware, etc, from the cabinets. There were staff members running up and down the wooden stairs in the adjacent hallway, and crashes of trays being dropped. It was a veritable cacophony all through the meal, and all very unprofessional. The food had odd flavors. The strawberry, arugula salad was excellent. But, the chowder had too much cayenne pepper and lemon; the hush puppies had a very strange and unpleasant flavor; and the mahi-mahi was fishy and bland accompanied by some broccolini with large tough stems and an inexplicable bunch of cold pickled cauliflower mixed in. Overall, I don’t understand the great reviews on this site.

Nice little place, close to Hilton property and recommended by concierge as one of three close-by venues. Outdoor seating was fine. Can't address their main entrees because my wife and I were only looking for a drink and appetizers. We ordered Sangria, Brussel sprouts, and fried calamari. Brussel sprouts were uniquely prepared and fantastic. Samgria was so-so, seeming to have not much wine, heavier on the soda. We often order calamari as an appetizer in restaurants, and this ranks with the worst we have had... rubbery, and overly hard and crunchy on the outside...should have complained and sent it back, but we didn't. Would consider returning to try main entrees, but would not reorder Sangria or calamari.

Delaney Oyster House on Calhoun Street in Charleston is a great place to go for delicious seafood and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I really like their menu and how everything is prepared. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have the best meal.

We ate on the upstairs outside porch on a cold night but they had it heated and plastic drops so it was nice and toasty. Oysters were good, service was mostly friendly and the atmosphere was fun.Their bourbon selection is limited but they have other drinks that should keep most people happy.
