The restaurant appears causal when you walk in because you first see the bar and community table, but the main dining room is nice and the flavors of the food are absolutely superb. Prices are honestly cheaper than what the food deserves. This is a great place to bring friends coming to Charleston from out of town who want seafood.

Coast is our favorite go to restaurant in downtown Charleston and has been for years. The service is always excellent and the food is always excellent as well. Casual and comfortable.
Our experience was excellent! The waitstaff (Robbie) was outstanding in service and friendliness. My husband and I both got grilled fish and they were so tasty- the grilled veggies and Brussel sprouts were also very tasty.
Amazing seafood
First time there. Our server, Alex, was super! Food was authentic and outstanding. No wait for drinks or food. Highly recommend Coast!

Our meal was excellent. However, when I server realized she was not going to upsell us a large amount of alcohol, the service level decreased. What she did not think about was we did not tie up her table for hours, so she got an extra turn.
