My wife and I ate here for our anniversary. I mentioned in the notes when I made the reservation that we would be celebrating our anniversary. They seated us beside the musicians (which was the best seat) without even asking and also gave us a card with a happy anniversary wish. The staff was amazing and very attentive to us. The food was so good!!! We both had crab cakes for appetizers which were amazing. We also both had Halibut as our entree and thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert but they brought us a plate with small selections of treats with edible white chocolate with Happy Anniversary wrote on it. This was probably in my top 3 best meal experiences in my life! Hopefully we can return again one day.
Went here to celebrate my mother’s bday and I couldn’t have made a better decision. The live jazz was wonderful. Each course was absolutely delicious (not pictured: assorted breads and butter with black lava salt) If you get dessert, make sure to get the recommended wine pairing (it changes, but the crème brûlée is a staple). There is a kid’s menu if you have a picky eater. Thank you Taylor and Matthew for your excellent service ❤️
We loved the Charleston Grill. The setting is lovely, the food delicious, and the staff is on top of their game. We started with the chilled asparagus soup, which was mouth watering. Our entree was the lamb (we are often sharers). It was a perfect mid rare, and the mint sauce was just right. It provided a little umph without overpowering the very tender lamb.. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.
Walking through the doors, we are warmly greeted by two smiling hostesses and promptly seated at a table alongside the window. My husband and I are admiring the warm ambiance of the restaurant and enjoying the live jazz music when our server approaches, congratulating us on our recent nuptials. We order the 2019 Château Palmer, Vin Blanc de Palmer to start and glance over the menu.We like to have our dinner in courses, and everything was timed out perfectly. For the first course we had the little gem salad-- a beautiful display of crisp greens, radish, dill, and cucumber with a flavorful green goddess dressing. We also tried the crab cake-- fresh chunks of crab, lemon, tomatoes and shrimp in a delightful dill sauce. Amazing! For the second course we opted for the spring vegetable and lemon risotto-- mushrooms, herbs and vegetables were all a part of this creamy, citrusy risotto. One of the better risottos we've had. My husband and I jokingly call this our "palate cleanser."For the third course we split the fish a la plancha and the scallops with the addition of the butter beans. The fish was delicate and full of flavor, served with baby leeks, charred ramps and chunks of ham in a beautiful parsley sauce. The scallops are served tender with asparagus and morel mushroom in a black truffle jus-- incredible! And the butter beans were my absolute favorite-- served warm in a delicious shrimp butter with rice, I could've eaten every last bite! For our final course, we enjoyed the cherry tiramisu. Coffee-soaked sponge cake layered with tart cherry and mascarpone allowed for a perfect ending to this outstanding meal.I must add that the service was impeccable-- some of the best service we've ever had. Needless to say, we will be back very soon!
Charleston Grill is a very special, elegant restaurant with primo staff and excellent food. They are the total package. We dined there twice while in Charleston and loved every moment and every bite. Delia S was our fantastic server both nights. She was a total delight and totally added to the enjoyment of our meals. The ambiance was beautiful and relaxing with soft piano music, which we enoyed. Their crab cake Is the best anywhere around, absolutely devine! We shared a crab cake the first night, the second night we each ordered one, no way sharing again. The first and second night I ordered the scallops, melt in my mouth wonderful. He ordered the halibut both nights and raved about it both it. The food, service, ambiance -everything came together for two delightful meals. Many thanks to Delia S for her quick wit and charming manner, she really added to the overall enjoyment of our meals! You go girl! This restaurant sets itself apart in all aspects of dining, the total package. We look forward to another visit to Charleston and Charleston Grill will be our go to place again. I HIGHLY recommend Charleston Grill. Don't miss it.

We had scallops that were wonderful. There's background live music which adds to the fantastic experience. This is a very special place!!
Have you ever imagined what the Gods on Mount Olympus eat? Consider yourself lucky… the answer was found today, by me personally at the Charleston Grill. One of the five best meals of my life, Chef Michelle Weaver takes you on a journey that embodies a philosophical flavor. Your taste buds will wonder what is happening to them, for only a few on this earthly planet will ever have the imagination of a chef, such is she. By pairing the finest and most pure ingredients that satisfy the tongue and mind… prepare to experience the most spectacular flavors. But when you combine this with great service, my wife and I had the pleasure to be served by Nellie and Andrew, you realize a perfect evening has been revealed to you.Tonight the gods were smiling upon us, our bellies are full, and our pains have been diminished. PS my wife cried when she had the dessert.
The Charleston Grill is a fanatic restaurant. The moment you arrive you are made welcome, whether it’s your first or hundred and first visit. From booking to table service, we had exceptional service from all staff. The waitstaff were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We had crab cakes and the rack of lamb, both of which were wonderful. We could not fault this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston.
On March 12, 2022, my boyfriend and I went to Charleston Grill. I must say to be a local and to visit a local restaurant this was an amazing experience. Our waiter was Brian and he was so attentive and made us feel right at home. He suggested drinks that was so good. The food was delicious I had the crab cake as an appetizer and lamb chops for my entree. My goodness it was so good. My boyfriend had the oysters for his appetizer and the steak for his entree of course I tasted his meal as well and it was so delicious! My boyfriend did a lot of culinary talk with Brian and Taylor because he’s a soon to be graduate from TTC in culinary arts. If you are a local or visiting Chas SC please stop in and have dinner at Charleston Grill.Lanasha and Joseph
