We had a lot of biscuits on our tour of three southern cities and we were excited to try Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, especially since they offered a gluten-free biscuit option. It's a cute spot in City Market...the line can get long so we ordered ahead from their website for pickup which saved us a lot of time. There is a little bit of seating near the store in City Market but we wanted to grab these to go and eat them in our nearby hotel.I had a Build Your Own with scrambled egg and cheddar. It was OK. The presentation was nice but it definitely was not my favorite biscuit. (And after this trip my body is like 80% biscuit so I feel I know at least a little bit what I'm talking about.) The texture was a bit more bread-like than I wanted without a whole lot of buttery flavor. My wife's gluten-free was similarly less biscuit-like in texture than she wanted but she thought the jam was good. They have a bunch of other flavors to try including some interesting jams, so if we found ourselves back in Charleston, we'd give it a try again to see if our experience was a fluke.

Decent breakfast sandwiches but would not be my first choice. Very nice staff but pricy for the options. If were just looking for something local this would be a quick choice but it wasn't impressive.Fairly pricy too. Lots of options in the area where you can get a meal for close to the same price as a single breakfast sandwich.Overall, not a miss but not fantastic for the price.
This was a cute little place to drop in for a light breakfast. Tried the goat cheese biscuit with blackberry jam with bacon added, blueberry biscuit and a egg and bacon biscuit. All very good and biscuits were not dried.
We ordered the mini cinnamon biscuits and the bacon & cheese biscuits and a lemonade. Yum, yum, YUM. Totally worth it and so delicious! Staff is also really friendly and knows the menu well so is happy to suggest!
Believe the hype. This was soooo good. If you're lucky enough, hopefully Ivory will take care of you. He was so helpful and steered us in the perfect direction.
Absolutely delicious and so many flavor choices. The little ones are a great way to try all the verities. Friendly staff!
These delicious little treats will cure anything that ails you after a night out in Charleston! We tried several different flavors each day and our hands-down favorites were the goat cheese biscuits with arugula and blackberry jam AND the country ham biscuit. These biscuits are light and moist- not dry at all. So many great choices of both savory and sweet - the cinnamon are crazy good! Going to the Charleston City Market to get our biscuits was part of the fun. Loved it!
Grabbed a biscuit sandwich for a quick snack while at the market. It was one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had! Callie‘s is definitely on my list the next time I come back to Charleston.
We went to the Market location. We tried a few. The goat cheese, blackberry jam, arugula buttermilk biscuit blew the others away! The biscuit was soft and doughy inside and not at all dry or crumbly. Perfect! The blackberry jam is fantastic with the goat cheese. The chicken biscuit was good but the chicken wasn’t very crispy. The biscuit was dryer and more crumbly. We got three of the small 2X2 biscuits. A cheddar cheese, pepper with bacon, and a buttermilk to go with the jams that we also got. The cheddar and the pepper with bacon were both very dry and we couldn’t really eat them because they were hard. If I had just gotten the buttermilk biscuit with goat cheese and blackberry jam, it would easily be a five star review. THAT biscuit is definitely craveable. I would recommend whatever you order, get it on a buttermilk biscuit and you will not be disappointed. There is seating right outside the door in the market and just outside of the market. It only took about five minutes to receive our order. And they were busy.
