We love coming to Butcher and Bee. I have diet restrictions and this is a place I can eat without dairy and gluten-but still tastes amazing! We sat at the chef's counter on this visit and enjoyed watching the chefs at work. They even gave us a dish of the wilted cabbage to try! The humus and kebobs seem to be regulars on the menu, but still really amazing! The beet starter was so good as were the butter beans with soft cooked egg. We had a really sweet server that was just the right amount of attentive! If you want something lighter, delicious and fresh, this is a great place to come!

Had falafel and baba ghanoush with hummus bowl and tahini hazelnut caesar for lunch. The pita was a little “breadish” for my liking and the sliced veggies a little uninteresting (not a lot of flavor), otherwise the food was very good, service was friendly and prompt and we enjoyed our lunch.

My wife and I decided to eat here after hearing about this restaurant slowly rising in popularity. Butcher and Bee offers flavorful dishes that highlight locally sourced ingredients. Do not be worried about the odd combinations they have come up with, they truly are awesome. My wife and I ordered the bacon-wrapped dates; a unique and excellent combination. For the main; my wife go the chicken kebab shwarma. She never had shwarma before, but needless to say, she loved it. I order the lamb shank; it did not disappoint. While the appeizter or "mezze" portions may run on the smaller side; portions for the main were generous. Kebabs offered to fully loaded skewers; lettuce, pickled cabbage, and an excellent topping. The lamb shank nearly looked like a half-leg of lamb. Meat was tender and literally fell off the bone. Spices were paired perfectly in what was perhaps on of the best meals of our trip. The restaurant offers outdoor seating which is dog friendly, so bring the puppy! Although flies can be a little bothersome, the waitress placed a spinner on the table and quickly solved that problem. Parking was very convenient and right next to the restaurant and it was FREE. You may have to drive a little ways down from the heart of Charleston to get here, but the trip will be worth it.

We had a rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening here. They were very relaxed and wonderful to work with. The food was exceptional, with several menu choices for all (including vegetarians) and there was so much of it! Service was also impeccable. When two guests flight got in late, while we were completely finished with dinner, they also accommodated them on a timely basis. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Roasted chicken was some of the best I ever had, whipped feta appetizer was also amazing. Made reservations about a month out for a girls trip—decor is definitely very cute and instagrammable. My only complaint, if any, was my friends ordered the fish of the day and the portions were a bit on the small side but quality of the food was extremely high. Would recommend!

Worst dinner ever. Dirty table, dirty yard outside restaurant. Horrible food. No beer listed in menu.

Celebrated a birthday with dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. Their patio is a great atmosphere and is pet friendly. We brought our dog and he made so many new friends. Our server and all the staff were incredibly kind and had great recommendations. Everything was absolutely delicious! The whipped feta is a must try. Will definitely be coming back on the next trip to Charleston.

Good food and service plus the bakery puts out some great bread! We started with the hummus which was one of the best I've had. It came with a nice size pita along with sliced cucumber and radish. My wife had the feta on toast with sliced radish and bacon (pictured) which was better than my roast beef sandwich. I have to try brunch on Saturday or Sunday because the bakery makes pastries.

This restaurant is located about 3 miles north of the French quarter area and close to I-26. We ate in the outdoor patio area and I highly recommend eating outside. The atmosphere is so relaxing and beautiful. For appetizers we had the “Bacon wrapped Date” and the “whipped feta cheese” - both were excellent. I could have eaten a few more of the dates with bacon - so, so good! The entree to me was just average. I had the daily catch which was Mahi mahi pan seared. The sides with it were not desirable at all which may be a matter of taste. If I lived in Charleston I would definitely give it another try. Our server was great and went above and beyond.

I had a catfish sandwich. My friend had whipped feta toast and warm olives. Hubby had roast beef. All the breads and brioche bun was made there. Delicious!
