Had a great time here. Our waitress was vert hardworking and pleasant. The food was amazing. The jo fries were the best with all the tasty toppings. Burger was great as well. Very laid back atmosphere. One of the owners came to greet us which was a nice addition to our good experience.Will return soon
Off the bat the service here was super friendly even when the hostess was busy when we walked in.Ordered several items including the Beer, Meat, Cheese appetizer. The platter was pretty good except that the meat was dry. The Stag & Boar Burger was good but had a very unique flavor I'm not sure I would get again. My fries were drenched in salt to the point my first bite made a crunch. I couldn't eat another one.My girl friend ordered a plate of bacon cheese fries. All of the top fries were dried out and gross. All of the fries underneath were soggy. I'm sure how they accomplished that but overall not very good. She also ordered The Mayor which was overall bland.My total bill with 3 drinks was about $100. Due to my issues with the meal they dropped that down to about $75. Overall I would say it wasn't worth what I paid for the quality or taste of food.

Bumpa’s feels like hanging out at a friend’s house - if that friend could cook killer pub food, had a mixology license and a great eye for interior decorating. Two local brothers own this place - there’s a big picture of grandpa Bumpa up on the wall. The bar food is WAY better than it has to be. The Condor Fries were amazing - like Poutine and Barbecue had a baby. Their signature old fashioned hits all the marks and their whiskey selection is vast but not too expensive. If you want to eat and drink and be merry while supporting a local Charleston business, come to Bumpa’s.
This place was so great! Caroline was our server and she was amazing! We got a scotch egg which was phenomenal. The mustard sauce was on point. I got the grilled cheese and a side of fries and ranch. For me, the bread was too toasted and the ranch was too thick, but the flavors were spot on. My fiance got the bison and boar burger with the blueberry gastrique and she loved it.
Wow! Our first visit. We did not know what to expect but it turned out to be 5 Stars all the way around. Greeted and seated promptly by friendly people. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Dan, the owner, even came by to check on us.
Owner came over to greet & thank for the business (nice touch), waitress & hostess were friendly. Scotch egg was insanely delicious. Flavors were on point! Stag & boar burger had great flavor (recommended for a foodie). Disco fries were ok. A bit salty for me but I think it’s because I was blown away by the symphony of flavors in the scotch egg & burger. Espresso martini was nicely “alcoholed “ and tasty. Would def be back when I’m in Charleston. Ty
