Been going here since they opened. This is the story. They didn't have a lot when they first opened. But within a few years they added lots of great stuff and it got really good. For years it was awesome. You could eat inside and the food and coffee was perfect. But now...You have to wait in the hot sun forever to get your order. Are they trying to torture their customers? And a lot of times its inconstant. I got a croissant today and it was super wet with butter and not cooked in the middle. I just threw it away. It had enough butter in it to give me a heart attack. I got a cookie a few days ago and it was like this weird dry bread constancy. I think it had too much baking powder added to it. The sourdough bread is still some of the best you can get in Charleston. It's a shame this place has gone down hill so much. But lucky for me there are a bunch of new places in the neighborhood for breakfast options. However I still go here sometimes because its the only one open on Mondays.

We stayed right around the corner from this great little bakery — got there early enough there was little to no line both mornings we walked over. We had many selections from their menu and both savory and sweet items were absolutely delicious! Favorites were pecan and cinnamon rolls. Coffee was great too.

This place has the best ham and cheese croissants. However, every single time I go to this place, the service is beyond SLOW. I’m talking slower than turtle speed and in no rush with a line wrapped around the corner. Overall this place is very poorly managed. I keep coming back because the croissants are great, but if you don’t have 30 minutes or an hour to wait in line every time you go to this place, just don’t even bother.

Great place to pick up breakfast and coffee. Everything that we tried was delicious, especially the Extra Orange Muffin and the Egg and Cheese Biscuit. The biscuits were like buttery clouds! Yum! Can't wait to go back!

Get there early! There was a line when we walked up but went fairly fast. Ran out of some items before we could order BUT we had choices and ALL of it was fabulous!! Monkey Bread, cinnamon toast bagel, bacon cheddar scone, ham cheese croissant. So good!

We recommend Brown’s Court Bakery to cater events. Brown’s court provided coffee & pastries for the brunch at Joe Riley Park on the Sunday morning after our wedding. Jenna helped us pick out the perfect assortment, provided all of the supporting napkins/plates/cups needed, and delivered for a very small charge. Greatly bakery, would head there again!

COOKIES!!! While visiting Charleston, we discovered this gem when looking for something to take when meeting my daughter’s office workers. We took a dozen variety of their very large cookies. They have gluten free options as well. And the office staff could not stop raving about the cookies! So when we visited a few months later-guess where we stopped again! They are the best cookies in Charleston, and easily hand size if not bigger.

Great place for morning food, coffee, bagels, donuts, danishes, cookies. Everything I have gotten here was a hit no joke haven't had one bad thing to say. If you get there early you can beat the lines that mite be the only issue I see someone having buttatsit and they work very fast so it's not a big deal.

This is an amazing bakery. Everything is so good and so fresh. We loved their croissants, danish, bagels and especially the cookies - perfectly moist and chewy. We tried other bakeries in downtown Charleston but they couldn’t hold a candle to this place. Yum!

Best pastries in Charleston - you just have to find the place. The cinnamon roll, pecan roll and raspberry danish were delicious all the way thru. The flavors were mixed throughout the pastry by knowledgeable hands. BEST!
