Run…don’t walk.Omg…food amazing. Great neighborhood bistro. Downtown quality without the fuss.
WOW! Very pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing! Daniel was the perfect host, explaining all the different foods and we were never rushed! We were visiting our son, his family and we’re from Florida. We’ll be back! I wish I could give it 10 Stars!
Cute - hidden gem kinda place with really good food. We had a party of 6 so we got this huge table in the middle of the restaurant, which was neat!We got the scallops, burger, and steak and they were all great!Highly recommend for a date night or a unique place to take family from out-of-town.
A friend with a college kid in Charleston recommended this place to us or we would not have found it. Excellent food with excellent prices and a varied menu from huge hamburgers to country fried steak to chicken, pork chops, or huge 16 ox steaks!!! I had the hamburger which was thick (over 1/3 lb meat for sure) and it came with their homemade French fries, and I was filled up for $12 ! Great service, too!!!
Food was amazing. Staff was friendly as well. It’s about a 30-45 minute drive for us, but we will be back. We had she crab soup, shrimp & grits, watermelon special.
This place is incredible..... wait. those words do not do this place justice. I unfortunately do not have the vocabulary to properly express the culinary experience that Betty Lou’s just provided. So I guess you’ll have to go ahead and try it for yourself....... you will only be disappointed if you don’t go. Further edit…. That is the best soft shell I’ve ever had.
I heard about this place from a friend. Glad my wife and I tried it. The food and service is really good although the portions are a little small but still really good. The Brussel sprouts are amazing! Nice little atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back to this little hidden gem again soon.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our dinner here while staying at the nearby Inn at Middleton Place. It's a comfortable neighborhood kind of place with friendly staff, great food, and casual atmosphere. It really hit the spot for us.
It was my first time to try the much raved about South Carolina she crab soup. It was delicious! We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento and cheese. I don't like goat cheese, but it was not over powering the pimento and cheddar. My husband had the Betty Lou Burger and enjoyed it. They do have a smaller hamburger for kids. Our server was great.I would have given 5 stars, but the floor was very sticky!! We almost left because of the floor. Hopefully the next time we go back, the floor will be in better shape. The food and service would rank 5 stars.
One of my favorite places to bring visitors or my go-to for a great meal. The pecan-encrusted chicken is amazing and comes with the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had! Always happy with my order and my visitors have always enjoyed their meals!
