Great local restaurant! We went there for breakfast and it was delicious. The staff was great and we were served really quickly. We would definitely go back.

Sensing that I was not in a good mood after losing a round of golf to my wife by 11 strokes, Annika (not her real name), smartly suggested that we go somewhere for a nice hearty breakfast. Decided to give BEP another shot after previously stopping by on a Sunday, only to discover that like Chic-Fil-A, they were closed on the Lord's Day. It was 10:30am when we arrived and the parking lot was full! A good sign! Luckily got a seat and were quickly greeted by a very nice server who got us coffee (black) and then took our order. Sitting in my direct line of sight was a guy in scrubs (Doctor, Nurse, Bakery Worker?) chowing down on huge slices of delicious looking bacon. "Hmm, nice idea," I thought to myself. In keeping with my wife's attempts to get me to eat healthier, I reluctantly ordered a vegetable omelet with a side of hash - hash is healthy isn't it? Then the server, God Bless Her, suggested that I order the HASH SKILLET, which struck me as even healthier much to my wife's chagrin...and a side order of BACON. Luckily, the ball and chain was still in a good mood after her lights out round of golf, so she let my order pass muster. Talk about a great breakfast! Decent price. Great tasting. So much food that we had to box what was left on our plates (made CUJO happy when we got home). But the highlight of the meal was the home-made SOURDOUGH TOAST! Yes, home-made SOURDOUGH TOAST. Sublimely good. And as if that wasn't enough, BEP also has home-made cakes and pies, including, BANANAS FOSTER CAKE! I've died and gone to Heaven. Can't wait to come back and have another healthy vegetable omelet. LOL

Had not been there in awhile, & I don't know why. I definitely won't stay away so long in the future. The food was great. I had the most delicious seafood omelet for lunch. It was loaded with good sized shrimp. If you're looking for fancy, this is not your place. But if you want very good food at an affordable price give this place a try. You'll be glad you did

Our new favorite breakfast place. This is a hidden gem. The country fried steak and meat lovers omelet were both amazing! Portions are huge. The sweet tea is actually sweet! Your eyes will likely be bigger than your stomach. We will be back!

We always love eating here! The old school diner feel is so nice & the food and portions are always super great! The service was good & the praline French toast we PERFECT.I love taking family here, as they always rave about how yummy it is. They have everything from breakfast items to dinner items. Something that will make everyone happy.Love,Tastetravelz

Locals love Bear E. Patch! They cook southern food the way we like it, offering daily specials in a chill atmosphere. The cafe-style spot has an open kitchen so you can see, hear and smell your order being prepared. This influences anticipation for that Farmer’s Skillet, praise God! I added sausage gravy and cheese to mine! The patch potatoes are so good plus the GRITS are made the right way, not creamed or sweetened for the Yankees. Authentic Southern Cooking goes down here!?Great Staff as well. The gals are familiar faces and they’re all kind interesting people. Guys behind the grill joke and laugh and enjoy work! If they have that much fun Cooking and serving the food imagine how much fun you will have eating it!

We were looking for a good, fast place to eat breakfast to continue to travel. We ended up in this place where most people who ate there were locals. We ordered a hearty breakfast. Both were really good and service was fast.

Cafe style. Great food. Real food. Great atmosphere and service. Team atmosphere. Funny staff. Huge portion sizes. Definitely coming back one day.

Very warm welcome upon entering. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment. All the staff members were friendly and attentive. A quality thats Rare these days. You can really tell when management cares for the workers it shined through everyone. Thank you for giving locals and visitors from all over a pleasant experience. We will return.

The food wasn't horrible, but not good enough to finish my Harbor Stew over grits that was recommended. Coffee wasn't good. Servers were great but it's set up so you have to wait in line to sit and then wait in line a second time to leave (probably a good sign there is a long wait though, I figured). Also being by myself I thought I'd catch up on emails - no wifi, no cell, but there is a paper for sale for $3.Total cost $39 seemed like way too much for the experience. They must have to charge a lot to support their sign budget - more signs than wall space to hang them
