Not a bad spot! Good option for lunch if some of the other places on King St. are already full up with a long wait. Easy to get in, and get some pretty decent food. Super easy and casual, nice to have outdoor seating.I give it a 4 just because I reserve 5 for "You should go out of your way to go here." I think if you're in the area and want a casual bite, AW Shuck's is a good bet.

Super fast. This is not a sit down restaurant. Order at the counter by the front door and they will bring your food to you. Drinks etc are self serve. Oysters were great. She crab soup was great. Crab dip was great.

Loved this restaurant! The food was very delicious especially the mussels! The staff was friendly! Worth the wait, which we had. The seasoned fries and fish tacos also yummy!

Food is ok--just about everything is fried. Nothing bad, but nothing remarkable, either. Good for a quick bite--they have an outside porch right on King St.

We walked in not knowing what to expect but we were extremely impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food came out quickly and was some of the freshest seafood I've ever eaten. I would recommend it again and again, 10 out of 10.

I am a big fan of shrimp and grits, having been born and raised in the South. I ordered here and it was amazing. The flavors are perfect. This is a must if you are also a fan of shrimp and grits! We enjoyed the outdoor dining with our small dog. The staff were really friendly!

Our first day in Charleston and we wanted seafood. We walked in AW Shuck's at 4:00. They were supposed to close at 5:00. They had already cleaned and closed the kitchen. The waitress said that they would make us their last table. She told us we had to sit outside. I went back in to use the bathroom and they had already locked the bathrooms. The food was greasy and not worth the price we paid. We definitely will not go back there.

Oysters were very small..I mean tiny. Grouper tacos were very small. You get two and fries for $16. Way too expensive for that small portion. Hubby liked the grits. Would not recommend

Felt like a tourist trap to me. Small portions, oysters was way too fried. Crab dip was cold and not tasty. Self-service and high price.

A nice quiet place with fresh oysters that do not require a bank loan ($1.50 each), friendly staff, great lunch menu.
