Another poorly managed restaurant with limited staff where management surely would rather turn away customers who don’t want to wait an hour or longer to be sat. Then wait another 15-30 minutes until someone asks for a drink order. We literally got up and wrote our order on a peace of paper, watched our waitress walk by four times and not great us. Short staffed is one thing, which I understand. Poorly managed and trained staff, as is clearly the case here, is entirely different. Trip advisor will list seven other establishments in the Hilton Head area for crepes or pancakes that are better, cost the same or slightly more and most importantly, have staff that will provide the service you pay for. The only reason to have 15 open tables consistently where the wait is over an hour at the door is you aren’t paying people enough. The only reason for this level of service is pro training and management.

May be the worst IHOP ever. We waited while the hostess chatted in the phone, then decided to seat ourselves, as there were few patrons. This was not OK, so we were asked to move. We were not offered a senior menu, the coffee was stale, waitress brisk, food was poorly prepared & overpriced, restrooms were dirty, as was the hostess desk. In all, a ‘never again.

I hate bashing this place its always been my daughter's favorite place but it's clearly struggling. Everything was just horrible. Dirty, Smelly like that musty cockroach smell Everything was Sticky the tables the menus salt pep shakers. The glasses Smelled like raw egg yoke the staff looked like they slept in their clothes and walked in off the street but they were nice. Very Very sad to see a national chain in this shape especially in this area... corporate definitely needs to step in and do something.

This morning……no heat….not greeted or seated….not approached for service for 10+ minutes….great delay to get coffee….great delay for food…..pancakes with no syrup…eggs were warm, bacon slightly warm……no checking back for anything…..no apology for delays….no mention of being short staffed but we could hear a party going on in the kitchen….no apparent manager/supervisor present……husband wanted to leave due to initial delay and I resisted…he was right……an acknowledgement of delays is so appreciated and goes a long way.

03.08.2022. 8:45 pm Hilton head South Carolina Worst restaurant experience. Girl At the front desk was so rude, ordered for burgers, She went to the kitchen and was yelling profanities with colleagues , on top of their voices, 35 minutes later the food was nowhere , I inquired and she told me “ there were other 3 orders before you so you have to wait” 5 minutes later she showed up with sandwiches not burgers . We asked why the food was different, she said she didn’t think that was a problem. We’re so hungry so we took the sandwiches and one was full of hair and a piece of bread package string . This is not the ihop I knew .

We waited 1 1/2 not just because they were busy but because they continue with take-out orders. The kitchen got so busy they stopped seating yet take-out orders keep going. Not fair to people who have been waiting so long. Take-out orders should wait in a line with others also. Also nothing but screaming and arguing from the kitchen. Awful experience!

Went here not too long ago and when I was about to go inside to eat, some hooligans on the side of the building said they were closed when clearly they had 1 hour left before they closed the store.They need to stop allowing random people hang outside pushing customers away. This is not how you run a business.

They didn't have enough staff working. We were there about 45 mins and never got food. Other families were there 1 hour and 30 mins with no food. Alot of us ended up walking out. The management/supervisor was not friendly and not willing to compromise with the staff that actually cared to show up for work. It was a total disaster. I felt really bad for the waitresses because people were leaving and they were not making any money because most of their pay come from the tips. Will not go back to this location.

Very happy with my experience today. There was a little wait to place order, however, it was no fault of employees- the location is short staffed. The employees are doing a great job with positive attitudes, good service, and good food. It was a very peaceful breakfast.

Ordered Swedish pancakes/crepes and instead of lingonberries they tried to pass off a cranberry sauce. The waitress and the manager SAID they had no idea but when I said the cook should have and should have told someone he was out of lingonberries they just stared at me and and then said they would take care of it. I just can’t believe the gall of pretending the cranberries were lingonberries. Either they are ignorant or they think we are!
