Didn't know what to expect but it was great. Had the clam strip dinner. Cooked perfectly. Crunchy outside and tender inside. Comes on a bed of fries, 2 hush puppies and a side of slaw. Slaw was just how I like it, creamy and a little sweet. Clams not dried out like when sometimes over cooked. Hush puppies very tasty. The fries also good. More than I could eat! Sorry, forgot the waitress name but awesome service. Very friendly staff overall. Definitely recommend this place.
First time visiting - stopped on our way to Hilton Head. WoW! The food is Amazing ... huge portions ... and great casual atmosphere. 100% would recommend eating here. Basket combos around $15 - Huge Platters start at $20 and the pick 3 was $27 and could easily feed 2 people
Dinner was very satisfying!! ..hushpuppies, amazing ?.. medium, juicy & cooked just right .. BLT , always good and fresh ?..sat on the patio and even in this hot weather was comfortable ?
We are here for our last night in the Hilton Head area. Tried to get into a busier place and was faced with a 1:45 hour wait. Decided to go closer to our hotel in Bluffton. What a great decision! I started with 1/2 dozen oysters, very good. I had the Surf and Turf (Rib Eye and Fried Oysters) and my wife had the Grilled Cod. My steak was unbelievable. Along with the shrimp it was really great! My wife loved her dish. We ate at the bar and the bartender was awesome. Great drinks and perfect ordering. Portions were large, but on the higher end for price. But worth it! Would go back here the next time we come for sure!
Took a short road-trip to historic downtown Bluffton. We had lunch at Captain Woody’s Bar and Grill. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors and ordered the Crab Bisque (creamy and delicious), the Shrimp Tacos (loaded with shrimp and tasty) and the Low Country Boil (very good and plenty for leftovers). I got fish and chips and my husband got trigger fish. It was delicious! They have an outside eating area that is screened in. Lovely! The seats outside were not very comfy but the food was great!! I would go back for sure!!
First time here at the end of April. Just a short wait on a Thursday afternoon. Seating is a little tight. It looks like they can pack a few in here. We had Chris as our server and he did a great job even though he was very busy. I started with the clam chowder and I was very impressed. I have never had clams that tender. I also ordered the redfish sandwich. Never had redfish before. It really did not have a lot of flavor, or it is a very mild fish, and was pretty dense but it made a good sandwich. My wife had the cod sandwich and she had no complaints. Coleslaw is good, potato salad is good, and the he-crab soup was good but a little spicy for me. Palmetto amber was a good beer for the meal. We had a good experience here and I would call this a go to place in my book.
I had the captains trio with no scallops, since I am allergic to them. They added more shrimp. It was really delicious. We also had the crabcake appetizer with lemon aioli sauce. That was also very good. My husband had the fried shrimp basket and said that the breading was a little spicy for his liking. But the shrimp were very good sized. Nice, casual atmosphere. Service was great.
Cute atmosphere with a real Southern feel. The best shrimp and grits I have even eaten. Brussel spouts were excellent. I also recommend the beef tips. Wish I lived closer.
My ladies' group from church gathered here for dinner before a show. They were very accommodating in reserving a table for 12 of us. Rob, our server, was quick to take drink orders as we arrived and served them with a smile. Once we had all arrived, he took our orders, and the food was served hot and tasty. I had the fried shrimp basket and onion rings. They were both crispy and delicious. Everyone at the table was pleased with their meals. Rob provided us all with our individual checks and we all left very satisfied. Would definitely visit again if visiting Bluffton.
