Nestled back from the road lies acres of land filled with fresh vegetables and happy animals.A true testimony to the atmosphere and superb food that you will find in the farmhouse kitchen.Hold room for dessert. The peach cobbler was out of this world. The catfish and fried shrimp, so good you dont need condiments. Which is rare.Well done.
This place was so cute, great service and the food was excellent! Even bought a bottle of hot sauce to take home! Will definitely plan to visit again when passing through!
First time here, just visiting the area. Was recommended to us by a local. Everything was great. My husband and I both got the Chicken Wagon dinners. Comes with 2 pieces of fried chicken a corn muffin and you pick 3 sides You can get either white or dark meat. The sides were even better than the chicken and so many to pick from. Between the 2 of us we got creamed corn, collards, tomato/cucumber salad, mashed potato w/gravy, and a side house salad w/spicy buttermilk ranch (this was homemade and it was spicy, loved it!,). I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything here. You will not leave hungry. They also have a farm store with veggies and all kinds of different goodies you can buy. Would definitely return if ever in the area. Wish they had one near our home!!.
What started as a rumor of a hidden gem turned into a wonderful breakfast experience. My wife, son, and I shared 2 meals and we couldn’t finish it all. The chicken tenders were juicy, the eggs perfectly cooked, and the waffles was amazing. We upgraded from the sausage link to the patty and it was well worth it. The small attached country store had lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, and snacks. If you find yourself driving near Bluffton, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Great prices and oversized portions will win you over.
Husband and I made first visit today. Neat place! Restaurant is very good. He ordered chicken steak w sausage gravy, collards, mashed potatoes. I ordered Chicken Kitchen (salad). Both were large plates. Oh! We started with fried okra appetizer while we read menu. Fresh & LOTS! Store has quite variety of items fresh & canned. We took home a few peaches. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
I was craving some country cooking on a business trip when I came across this gem. Perhaps the best fried okra I’ve ever had and the fried chicken is delicious. Love the small market attached. Highly recommend!
Greatly enjoyed our visit to Cahill’s Market! We were there on a Saturday evening and it was busy, but we spent 10-15 minutes prowling the little market, which is full of local produce, jams, jellies, and sauces, and then our name was called for a table. The dining room is rustic and simple, with huge windows that look out onto the grounds of the farm. However, the star is the food! For $16.50 we got two pieces of perfectly fried chicken, three sides, and a corn muffin. I had butter beans, cucumber and tomato salad, and creamed corn and every bite was delicious! The service was friendly and efficient and we left happy and stuffed! Would definitely return!
This used to be a favorite. Anymore they don't care about their customers! Most of the servers act like they hate their job, don't dare ask for substitution of a menu item! Freezing because all the fans are blasting...they could care less. Mention a problem get a sarcastic smart a.. reply!! I'm a local and they lost me! You travelors beware these people don't care anymore ?
Authentic Southern cooking at its finest...A great place to grab a meal , only about 20 minutes away from hilton head...If you like fried chicken, waffles and grits you will love it...And the fried chicken livers are A+
So my family visited Cahill’s in March of 2021. It was hands down one of the BEST meals we ever had. So come June 2022 when we are visiting area again we knew we had to come here. Unfortunately, it was a really terrible dining experience and the food was only OK. We arrived around 5:15, got seated by 5:25. Put in our order at 5:40. But our meal didn’t come until 6:40. There was no waiter checking in on us or explaining why it was taking so long. I ordered a sweet tea and had finished it and no one in 45 minutes came to refill it. I finally got up and went and found someone who was very apologetic. So it took a good hour before our food came out. They apologized upon delivering it explaining they were down two cooks. Ok, I get that. But why didn’t any waitstaff check in on us the entire time? Now to the food. I ordered the fried shrimp. And it was bland. Like, frozen popcorn shrimp taste better than it. The broccoli casserole was really yummy. The sweet potato soufflé was just ok, the time before it was amazing. In short, I guess the good thing is - I won’t be craving to go back to this place!
