Probably the best ribs I have had anywhere. The sides are really good too. I have eaten here 4 times over the last 4 years. The quality has been consistent each time.
We experienced the worst customer service today. We were really looking forward to some BBQ. We walked in with a hostess/waitress who was absolutely rude and aloof. I never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. I was a little skeptical when we walked in and there was absolutely no one there but the surrounding restaurants were very busy. I asked the women who was taking our order if they were open. She gave me a reluctant surly yes. It was very dark in there. I got really bad vibes. My husband was so flabbergasted by the poor customer service that we ended up going to the pie place next door and were met with FABULOUS customer service and the waitress there was also working the bar and we still got excellent customer service with great food. After talking with some people around the area, it seems this is an ongoing problem which explained why they were empty. Who knows if the food is good or not, that I cannot speak on. Doesn't matter. I wont go to a place like this that makes us feel so unwelcome for no provoked reason. We wont go back.
For what it cost, excellent! Excellent service and very clean. Meat tasted a tad dry, not as savory as I was anticipating. Fries and sweet potato casserole were delicious!
The BBQ was pretty good. The meat was very good the sauce good but I like a little sweeter BBQ sauce. The real winner they have is their Sweet Potato Casserole!!! Delicious! Don't miss it. I was disappointed in the Brunswick Stew. It was like vegetable soup with BBQ seasoning. Not bad but not like the meat stew I expected. The service was good and we were served fairly quick.
I had bbq. Ribs and ff and corn bread. All were delicious. Smoky and fell off the bone. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and he said it was the best he ever had. The place is small but cozy and rustic. We will be going back the next time we come to hhI.
Small BBQ restaurant, with the best BBQ I ever had. We ordered a half rack of ribs, Mac & cheese, and fries. Worst part of the meal was I only ordered half a rack. Delicious fall off the bone ribs. Staff was incredibly nice and welcoming.
Wonderful smokey BBQ sandwich, yummy sides and ribs: tender, tasty and just what you hope for! You won't go wrong dining here.
