My mom lives at Hampton Lake and we always make sure we have at least one meal here while visiting. The food and the service has always been excellent. My biggest issue and the reason for 4 stars is Backwater Bill’s hours. They’re hardly open, very strange hours and I don’t know why. We would eat there more often if they had typical restaurant hours. Recently ate at the pool bar with my mom and daughter. So relaxing and beautiful water views. We all had salads and they were great! Large and very tasty. We also each had a Miami Vice which was delicious, but you couldn’t tell that there was any alcohol in them at all.

Great place other than that we were asked to leave since we weren’t members staying. You have this place advertised with absolutely no notice or warning that you have to be a member to dine in. Put something up so people don’t waste their time on you.
Due to Covid apparently, Backwater Bills is not open to the general public. Wish we were made aware of this before we got there. Now all y'all know.
