We were strolling down a main street in Beaufort when we saw a sidewalk sign advising ice cream & shakes, after entering, we realized this shop is their yogurt and sorbet location, where you pick among various flavors, put your choice of many toppings on your cup and then pay by the weight of your creation. Like Menchies back home. We feel it's good but pricey. Then when they were eating their treats outside, we read the rest of the sidewalk sign and realized it pointed customers down the brick sidestreet to the other YoYo's, which is an ice cream parlor / hot dog "hut" closer to the waterfront. We went in here too and I got a couple of scoops of chocolate chip (my fave) in a cone. I've had better. They both had nice counter servers. Nothing special otherwise.
This placed saved our lunch stop on the way to Georgia! After ordering sandwiches at Hemingway’s down the road and waiting for almost 40 minutes with a cranky puppy, it became apparent that they had forgotten our order so we left. We walked down the promenade and found YoYo’s - what a strike of good luck! Ordered two hot dogs, some tasty ice creams and even got a puppy cup of vanilla ice cream for free - within minutes we were enjoying our lunch at a table outside! Super friendly service with a smile, definitely put the smile back on our faces too! And puppy was in heaven :)
Great addition to Downtown...take your cone across the park and sit on swings while enjoying your cone...feel like a little kid again. ?
Fun ice cream shop on the water, nice staff and good flavors. Take your date to the swings for bonus points.
The staff discriminated against us because my son has a service dog and refused to serve us. Our dog is fully trained and certified as a service dog. Despicable.
Great ice cream very tasteful I really like the place but I could do without the attitude of the cashier or manager or service person whatever she calls herself mrs. Deja but other than that her attitude Russia me through my order having a hurry up and get out attitude it was good
Many flavors to choose from. Portions were generous and the prices fair. Just what we needed to cool off while we strolled along the Waterfront Park. Finding parking can be a little challenging.
YoYo's is a small place in a great location. We had a couple of Nathan hot dogs and they were OK. They seemed on the small side and the bun was neither toasted nor warm, thus reducing the flavor. There were no prices for any of the items (hot dogs, ice cream, soda, etc.) and this is disappointing as you never know the charges until the bill arrives.
What a great spot to get a treat at the gorgeous waterfront park. We grabbed some delicious ice cream cones (Sea Turtle is great for any carmel fan, and Mint Chocolate Chip that is chock full of slabs if chocolate) and enjoyed them as we sat on the swings watching the boats go by. Friendly staff. Good ice cream.
I went here as a when I was in south carolina. I loved it! I remember I would almost always get the rock candy and put it on my chocolate ice cream
