Very cool atmosphere! Indoor and outdoor seating. Vast beer selection on tap. We had drinks, appetizer and 4 meals under $55. Server Justine was super friendly. Seems like with everyone else staffing seems to be issue… staff was doing a lot of multitasking but kept up with tables for the most part. I ordered the Q ban sandwich, it was served with some vinegar which got spilt all over the tray.. bottom of sandwich was saturated.. ok if you like vinegar ? the fries are hand-cut looking but had been staged (cold/stale) The carbonated drinks were off ?♂️ our server warned us about that… suggest recalibrating system? (Coke does that free of charge) Anyhow with everything mentioned the facilities were super clean, staff was super friendly and hardworking. We encountered owner/manager??leaving and he thanked us for our business. Definitely will be back but request vinegar/sauces on separate tray ??❤️✌️
Been here a few times and this place has mixed reviews around town. I heard they got some new management. The food we got recently was really good. Best we've had in a while. Service was really good, and place was busy. Will be back again soon.
A short walk from the the marina and you run into the historic down town Beaufort, restaurants and shops line both side of the street. As we progressed down the street we smelled the aroma of Q on Bay before we had even gotten in front window. Amazing food and service. The smell of pulled pork is everywhere. You can dine inside or outside. I recommend trying the pulled pork tacos. Very affordable. We ate there for lunch. Come as you are. Can't wait to go back.
We were on vacation and stopped by on Friday! This place was recommended by our tour guide. We were sat right away outside and got a beautiful view of the Bay. I did asked the host for his name and it was Joseph. I thanked him for seating us at the table with a nice view. Our server Melody had a trainee. They both were wonderful. About the food, it was delicious the Mixed Green salad and Shrimp n’ Grits. Way to go Q ON BAY!! We’ll be coming back on our next vacation!!
Stopped here on vacation and had the shrimp and grits. It was good with nice sized shrimp. The grits were cooked right and it had just enough sauce. Rest of the family enjoyed their food as well. Would recommend.
Loved our seats outside and the food was just as good as the view. The surf and turf (ribs and shrimp) was delicious and my husband had the game day platter (ribs and wings) was delicious as well. Don’t miss out on the loaded grits! We had good service too!
Don't waste your time or money. Went for dinner to celebrate with friends. Ordered Brunswick stew and burnt ends for appetizers. The stew tasted like it was from a can! The burnt ends were tiny, over cooked and tasted like they were topped with a sweet sauce to hide their mistake. The service was slow, the entrees were served without the sides and the corn bread was the size of 2 dice. The flavor and quality of the barbeque was mediocre at best. It took forever to bus the surrounding tables. Since we ate outside on the deck, the birds were eating the food left at the tables!!! We were forced to leave our table to shoo the birds away 3 Times. The birds obviously enjoyed the meals more than the patrons. Find a different place to dine, Q On The Bay isn't worth it!!!
We really enjoyed the Q-Bin sandwich and fries and hamburger and fries. Small portions but enough. Views were nice and staff was really friendly and sweet. Sat outside on patio with views on water and live music.
We have been going for years and it’s been clutch to bring guests to every time they came to town. I’m afraid to say, it’s no longer an option. Nothing, as in nothing, was worth giving them a positive review. The meal took hours, everything was stale or over cooked from sitting under a heat lamp. The place wasn’t busy, there was no management, the food quality was poor. I understand the challenges, but everybody has the same challenges and there are a lot of places doing much better right next-door. The people in general are still pretty nice but it is no longer worthy to take guests to to give them a taste of Beaufort. I don’t think we’re gonna go back. I think we’re done.
Whenever you see this place just go literally anywhere else. The most sorry workers and the owner Chris is a joke. He offered a friend of mine a job she worked one day and she got let go??? Chris keeps beating around the bush and doesn’t have the balls to really tell her why. Btw you can’t know if somebody is gonna be a good fit after just one day. That just tells me that the servers were mad bc she was a very good server and they didn’t want their tips going away. I’m telling everybody that I know about how poorly ran this place is and I’m good friends with the health inspector. Also just so everybody knows there was multiple roaches just crawling around inside the place.
