There aren't many bar options as you walk on the riverfront. This establishment caught our eye as the front of the building looks like a pharmacy. The inside was less appealing than what we expected. We stayed for a drink and headed out. Drinks were very reasonable if not a steal. Some of the food looked really good. Bathroom was disgusting.

What a pity, we have come back thinking of giving them a second chance, after a long time, since they failed us with the service previously. Well, more than failing, they did not pay us any attention and after 20 minutes of waiting and seeing the waitress go by Saying absolutely nothing, we left. On this occasion, we thought that if we sat at the bar, perhaps it would be an easier service for them and perhaps faster for us. Well, none of that. We simply ordered some baskets, one of fish and the other of chicken. The waitress was attentive and there was no shortage of beers for us, but time passed, and the people who arrived after us already received their dishes. To call the attention of the waitress, we told her that we were going to go out to take some photos, that's when she told us that our order was "almost" ready, that had already passed more than 45 minutes. Upon re-entering, my husband told her that if it was not ready, we would cancel the order, she apologized and that's when she went into the kitchen to claim our plates. Another 20 minutes passed before they came out. We just didn't leave because we had hungry. The food was good. This has not been just a bad day, it is the disorder that reigns here and the poor organization that they have in the kitchen. We understand a waiting time, right now there is not much staff working and we respect it , but this place is unacceptable. It is a pity since it is in a privileged place.

We visited with our two children on Monday about 6 pm. We were warmly welcomed, given menus and ordered drinks. It was happy hour ($.50 off any bar drinks). We were visiting, so ordered food for us and our kids. Prices seemed a little high (12-inch pizza was $11) but the food was great. Server offered to box up all food for us and make nachos all on the side so we could eat later. She assured us to take our time to order, despite closing at 7. A sign on the front door said how short-staffed they were but we didn't experience any problems at all. Great location on the main downtown street. Seating outside faced the bay and marina, which is very pretty.

This restaurant has went down hill since the last visit. Service is beyond slow. Had to find a server to get a menu even though there was 5 on the floor and 2 bar tenders. Had to remind the waiter ref our order. He was to busy bragging about his college experience to newly sat customers to see he had forgot to get my wife's drink from the bar.15 min from the time we sat to waters and menus.2 min for my soft drink20 mins for my wife's drink from the barTold twice in 10 mins that he was checking on the order.Another 10 mins our waiter stated the food was on the way. Watch the waiter continue to have conversations with the staff vs doing what he said.9pm to get our food. This would be understandable if the restaurant was full but the front was empty and 4 tables and the back were also open ON AFRIDAY NIGHT.For a premium dinning location their service is questionably poor.1 star because 0 isn't a option.

Awesome bar!!! Best burger I've had in a long while. Eat inside or on the patio with a view of the river.

Love this place but it needs a bit more help! Great night listening to Chris Jones but it was so packed everyone wanted more drinks - we waited 30 min. ...the bar could certainly make more money ? if they had more help!! Otherwise highly recommended!!

Chilled, good food, quick and friendly service and cold beer. Just what’s needed on a HOT day passing through Beaufort. Pleasantly surprised and if we’re ever in the area again, my wife and I will definitely pop in.

There for supper. Food average, service poor. Seated quickly and waited 10 minutes before we saw a waitress. It took 10 minutes to get my beer and then waited about 15 minutes to get my wife's drink. Food order came quickly, but didn't see waitress for another 20 minutes. Then I thought she ran off with credit card.

We came in because it was a great location and looked good. We were seated immediately, got drink orders immediately and placed our food order not long after. For an appetizer we order crab dip. We waited over an hour for our food. Long enough for some of our party to have 2 or 3 drinks. We had seen other people come in after us and receive their food well before us. When we asked the waitress about our order, she stated that there was only 1 Cook (the manager) and there were so many tickets ahead of ours. We had asked the waitress for our tab for our drinks and we were going to leave and go somewhere else. The Manager came out and explained that she was the only Cook and they were understaffed and our food was almost ready and asked if we wanted to stay. We agreed to stay and received our food about 10 mi uses later. Our food was burnt, dry and lacking any sort of flavor that was described on the menu. The only good food we had was the French fries. I understand in these times places are understaffed and doing the best they can, but we saw our ticket in the waitresses back pocket and forgot to turn it in. We do not recommend.

Absolutely a terrible experience. Sat down and waited about 15 minutes for our drinks, to make matters worse the server brought my beer after it sat on the beer after about 10+ minutes and was at room temperature. I ask "did you not hear my wife ordered a Coors light"? Server, the bartender is "making" it while they were all on the side fratinisin with each other. So the server would just disappear for 10 minutes or so at a time. Finally the bartender brought my wife's beer over and I began to tell her of my concerns, she said I am about to make your day worse as everything you ordered we are out of. I said bring us our check and we will eat elsewhere. Did a manager ever come over and talk to us, NO. What is going on with these franchise restaurants!! They blame covid on everything. Do NOT go to the Outback in Beaufort, SC unless you are a glutamate for a bad experience.
