OK this place is good. The food is huge. I couldn't finish it all. Service was great. I'm from the west coast and whenever my work send me to Beaufort I have to come to la nopalera. I would recommend it to all.
Good chips & salsa but a no-no experience for me. Was in town on vacation and had been craving fish tacos. Menu item of grilled chicken & shrimp caught my attention, so decided to go with it minus the pico. Service was quick and food came fast. Unfortunately my food was wrong. When I notified the waiter, he took my plate to another customer's table and brought their plate to me. I didn't see when the other table got served and have no idea if it was touched with hands, their used fork, etc. May not be a big deal to most but huge no-no for me. It was busy and our waiter never came back after that except to pay. Friend ordered a texas margarita and said it was watery. La Nopalera won't be on my list for future visits or recommendations.
We love this Mexican restaurant! The staff are always quick to get us seated with drinks & chips & salsa. Their food is always quick too. Their salsa is always fresh & usually pretty spicy....yum! I love their hard shell beef tacos which I drizzle with their salsa & pico. My wife loves their refried beans & rice; she also drizzles their fresh salsa & pico on her food. We usually order pico & queso to share with our meals. The pico is always fresh & delicious. We always ask them to make sure the queso is super hot temperature so that it stays easy to dip for our whole meal. Sometimes we order a side of jalapeños & pour them into the queso just for fun. If you love fresh Mexican food fast, this is the place for you.
One of the best Mexican restaurants around- they offer the traditional American Tex-Mex faves, plus some more traditional things like nopales, sopes, and more. Portions are good, meat is well seasoned.
If you're looking for a small boat of queso at a reasonable price, look no further. I mean seriously, look at it.Salsa and food were also pretty good. Service was so-so.Go for the queso boat, stay for the queso boat.
Margaritas are excellent, and the food is absolutely great! Service with a beautiful smile, and we will be back!
Food is excellent service good. Had two meals with take home had 9 meals. Portions large. Best refried beans, wife won't eat ever but likes theirs.Just damn good place, at fair price.
Excellent food, as close to authentic Mexican as you can get. Service was outstanding and the restaurant has a vrry nice atmosphere.Definitely an excellent place to have a pleasant dining experience.
Food and Staff were phenomenal. Generous portions best authentic Mexican restaurant hands down.
