This adorable coffee shop ("in" the City Loft Hotel) is great! We've been here a couple times when we stay at this boutique hotel.
Absolute best coffee we had on our recent trip by far! Could not really find a good iced coffee during our trip until the last day of our stay when we stumbled upon this little shop while walking around on Sunday morning. I was so thankful to get a delicious coffee! The place was so adorable inside too! The atmosphere was great and the staff were so friendly! I'm glad we know this shop is there now - just wish we would have found it on day 1! :) We love local shops like this one!
I visit this place all the time and the customer service is usually awesome. Another young lady started working a couple of weeks ago and she is often. She could not understand how to make my coffee and seemed to stare at me with an un willingness to serve me. I got my coffee and it was awful. I will go back because I love this place but not while she is working.
Great neighborhood spot. Fair and reasonable prices compared to others in town. They also have a great selection of French and imported wines in the back which is so cool if you live locally.
Great little coffee shop. Better than Starbucks and great snacks too. Located downtown this gem is a go place on our next visit.
Really unhappy with my recent experience. My usual coffee spot was closed so figured I’d give City Java a try. I ordered a half decaf almond milk latte and that is not what I got. First, the girl working put half regular espresso mixed with decaf in the portafilter. I worked at a coffee shop for many years and I’ve never seen that in my life. Usually pour separate shots. Then she half steamed the almond milk, haphazardly poured it into the cup with the espresso shots while taking to another customer. After pouring it in, she then added more COLD almond milk to the “latte”. I literally got a 12oz cup of warmalmond milk, couldn’t even taste any espresso. I was in a rush so didn’t have time to ask for a remake. I ended up throwing it out it was so awful. Complete waste of $5. Live in town, won’t be coming here again.
Good morning coffee, excellent barista, quality pastries, a block from Bay street. What more could you want? P.S.; if they have the blueberry-lemon coffee cake, get it.
The frozen Caramela Macchiato is one of my all-time favorite drinks. Sometimes it can be icier or smoother depending on the barista, but always amazing flavor.
