The best experience in the country! It's not only the exceptional food which is always amazing. It's the people that make it a unforgettable time.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant! The quality of the food and service cannot be beat! Matt's dishes are like a hug on a plate and always truly unique! And Krista has an amazing talent of pairing just the right wine! Can't wait to see you guys again really soon!!
Last night my wife and I, alongside two of friends, visited here - best experience I've had at a restaurant! While the menu doesn't tell you the name of the dish you're eating, it rather tells you the fresh ingredients the chef, Matt Wallace, is using to make the dish. While a picky eater myself, I was first hesitant about going here because I thought I would pick at my food (yes, like a child). Definitely not the case here. Everything made was perfect and was delicious. Each dish was personally brought out by Matt and in detail he described the dish made. The entire place sat approximately 20 people and is reservations only. We waited almost 3 months but it was well worth the wait and I'm looking forward to our next visit!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I don’t hate this place it just that you cannot get a reservation. Tried making a reservation today for February and was told they are booked thru March… call back at the end of March??? Very Small from the outside. I read a review that said if you live in Beaufort you are fortunate to have this place close by...but if you cannot get in how would you know. I guess we will stick with Saltus, Breakwater, The Hearth, Papaya et. al.
We were absolutely blown away by the creativity of the food as well as the overall dining experience. It was surely a culinary treat, one that we will remember for quite some time. The Chef is so talented and was able to execute such a diverse range of plates in exemplary fashion. The sea bass ceviche was the star of the night, but the other plates served were equally delicious. We had carnitas, white bean soup, sherry cream shrimp, local mushroom sautéed in sherry, and udon noodles. What an experience and we do look forward to visiting again soon. Clearly one of the best restaurants in the entire Southeast!
This was a 10/10. Amazing food, great atmosphere- staff was so friendly. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Creative menu that did not disappoint. Would highly recommend!
Words can’t describe how delicious the food is at Blacksheep. Matt and Krista provide an unforgettable dining experience. The menu changes regularly and each course is unique, fresh and flavorful. I usually try not to eat a single bite of food when I know I’m going to Blacksheep for dinner. You don’t want to be full, because every mouthful is just awe inspiring! Really can’t believe we have such an unbelievable restaurant in Beaufort. We’re very, very lucky!

Ultimate date and dining spot. It’s about the experience. It was about the food and nostalgic summer foods. The food was so good! I would die to have those mussels again. It is reservation only. But so worth it.
