Second time here, was hoping it would be better than the first. No such luck. Food is mediocre at best, condition of the restaurant is terrible. Extremely dated interior,not to mention a ceiling covered in mold and paint peeling. If these guys are going to stay in business, an appearance on Restaurant Impossible would be in order.
Always out of food and host are rude. Given this one lace many chances since Covid but when the server lies about being out of food just so they don’t have to prepare it is not cool. Go to The Galley or Pixie and Bills in Clemson. Better food and class of people.
Loved the feel and our waiter was amazing. Definitely would recommend sitting outside it was a nice evening that night.

we had the privilege of eating one of Chef Ben's amazing meals last night. His talent is unsurpassed. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the salmon was absolutely delicious...cooked again to perfection. We were visiting family in the area and stopped by for a quick dinner and we are so glad we did. We highly recommend The Local Pub.
I have never eaten upstairs, but I love the atmosphere and food downstairs. Bar tenders are great at their jobs and the food is always delicious.

When The Local opened up, it was met with 2 star reviews from only a couple of people complaining about the wait, as if any restaurant's opening is suddenly smooth off the bat. I immediately dismissed these negative ratings and quickly ventured to the new awesome lake-accessible restaurant that's become my lunchtime favorite during summer. Have yet to have anything disappointing here.
Fishand chips are delicious, but slaw had way too much mayo. I enjoyed being outside and hearing the music of Max.
We had a reservation for a party of 10 and our waitress done amazing!! She kept everyone's drinks full and amazingly kept everyone's tickets straight!!!
