Last Saturday afternoon we celebrated our 50th anniversary with 9 other family members. This is the first restaurant we ever ate at where every single person commented on how much they liked the food and atmosphere. Good portions and fair price. We even had an area all to ourselves which our family liked . Maria and Lauren were very very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend you try this restaurant.
My first time to this restaurant. Order chicken dish and steak dish. It was delicious and well cooked. Nicely decorated the plate. Owner is very polite. Overall first experience forcing me to test pizza next time & I am sure for getting authentic test of Italian pizza.
I gotta be honest, everything was very mediocre. I hate knocking a family business but I really don’t understand how the average is 4.4 stars. I guess to be impartial, I will just write a pros/ cons list:Pros:- ample parking- greeters very friendly and prompt to seat guests- chicken Marsala was edible.- they took back the appetizer when they realized we weren’t happy with it. Manager apologized and took it off the tab. I guess it’s nice when they don’t fight with you at least.- huge portions- reasonable pricesCons:- really odd choice in music. I think it was Irish Celtic music? The ambiance was just off.- alcoholic beverages were hard liquors and cheap wines… just odd- server was not attentive and it was hard to get her attention- mussels appetizer was fishy but also the butter sauce was thick which really grossed me out.- lasagna was dry/ too much ricotta cheese, not enough sauce.- shrimp scampi was served in the same or similar lemon butter sauce as the mussels appetizers and it was thick. I’ve never had it like that and hope not to ever again. Yuck! The manager had said about the appetizers at least that people in this area like it that way. Given the ratings, maybe she’s right.Given that the food wasn’t bad. Nothing overall was bad and it was actually rather affordable for what it was, I would be open to trying again. I would absolutely never try the mussels or shrimp scampi again though. And if I’m being perfectly honest, I don’t think I would spend a birthday dinner here. It’s an ok place to get out and not have to cook for the night but not really on par what you would want for a special night.
Going for the first time, we ordered 3 different dishes to do a tasting test. It's just something we do, don't laugh It's a way to taste more. About the food, location and service, All 5 star. The food was better than olive garden +2 stars. We were going there but a last minute decision decided to give this a try, and we all agreed we will pick Dolce Vita over all others. This place was just very nice on all points. Did I say the food was great!!!
Mediocre. Have tried this place a couple of times. Portions are generous & it's filling but not the most flavorful. The spinach & artichoke dip is tasty but served with greasy grilled toast that tastes like lard. The cheese raviolis were standard fare but the Marina was just plain tomato sauce. My leftovers were much better with some Italian seasoning added. The piccata was only slightly lemony. Could be good with some seasoning cooked in the dishes.
Our first visit. Made reservations for 7 of us. Entire visit was great! The hostess was friendly and sat us right away. The bread and butter served were such a treat. Soft loaves of fresh bread and a flavorful butter went well with our drinks from the bar. Soup and salads were all wonderful and our server was attentive and did a great job throughout the entire meal. Main courses were thoughtfully put together and delicious. We opted to skip dessert this time but are looking forward to trying them next visit. If you haven't been....GO!
After reading all the great reviews we were excited to find an Italian restaurant but left very disappointed. If I could give it a zero I would. We had a party of four and each had a different dish and all tasted as though it had come from a microwave box. Lasagna was dry and looked like a thick paste and had no flavor; the lobster ravioli had to be frozen - and if there was lobster in the ravioli it couldn’t be found and was swimming in sauce; the calzone crust was also odd in taste and the calamari was so chewy you couldn’t even eat it. My husband never complains but left saying it was the worst meal he has had in a long time. Maybe the kitchen was not on point that night but I’ve dined at many Italian restaurants and this one is a big disappointment and we won’t be going back.
Been several times and have never had anything I didn’t like but the Caprese Pasta is my ultimate Favorite
Delicious!!! Service was wonderful!
Didn’t love it. The tomato sauce has absolutely no flavor. The pasta is advertised as house made but I’m certain it was not. The steak was flavorless and cooked just not good. The potatoes served with the steak were cold.
