The chips and tea were good. Service was good. The food was horrible. Mexican Street I'm pretty sure came from a can. Potatoe soup was watery probably evaporated milk not sure with about 4 over cooked potatoes. Pork Belly tacos were dried out greasy and tasted like cardboard. There was seemingly no air and it smelled like a dirty mop. Everything else fine. Only $31.00 for this experience.
Love this place! I discovered this amazing restaurant from a friend. They always exceed my expectations. My to go order have never been wrong, not in the 4 years I have enjoyed Blue Tolok! The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is fun. The food is phenomenal! One visit here and you will never go anywhere else!
The Onions and bell peppers have been almost completely raw from not being sautéed the past 5 to 6 times I’ve come. Also there was minimal cheese to my order.
Ordered simple grilled chicken cheese natchoes, they came out cold and in a hard ball of cheese. I told them it was cold, plate was brought back to me exactly the same, probably only put it in the microwave for a few seconds, food was the same temperature the plate was a little warmer. Food tasted like it was prepared hours ago and sat out, I hope I don’t get sick. Currently drinking my coke out of a cup with no ice in it.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. I've never had a bad dish there. Service is hit or miss, but the food is worth it.
One waitress is definitely slow and forgetful. Waited over 20 min for our drinks (sweet tea). Food was missing, but still tried to charge me for it, then blamed the kitchen. Idk who's fault it was, but I work in a kitchen, your staff should stick together, not throwing each other under the bus. All of the other staff is amazing. The food seems a little less fresh than it used to. But still pretty good.
Their soups and crunchy tacos are delicious! Prices are very good. Music is 80s. Only complaint is they can be a little slower than a typical Mexican restaurant, but it is our favorite!
This was the perfect Mexican restaurant to kick off Cinco De Mayo at... First and foremost Danielle is AWESOME !!!!!! And as for the fish and birria tacos that my wife and I ordered.. HOME RUN !!!!!! Got 2 orders of Texas rice for dinner...??? .Thanks again Danielle ??
Food is good, but the service sucks. The waitress never came to our table to refill our drinks, never returned to the table for anything after she brought our food. Except to collect money and that took 25 minutes after we finished eating. Short staff and being busy is no excuse, when there is 3 wait staff on our side of the dining room.
Overall a bad experience. Waiter was almost non existent. Ran out of drink multiple times. Ordered the beefy taco soup. Nothing but water and a very little other ingredients. When I asked for another soup with actual ingredients, the waiter brought me some hamburger meat and said that should fix it. He didn't give my wife a choice of tortillas to go with her order. Just brought her out whatever they wanted. And my daughters shrimp tacos were odd tasting. Rude, non-existent service. Bad food. Needless to say I won't be back anytime soon.
