I don’t even know where to start. Went in around 10:30, just wanting some chicken wings. Which turned out to be a terrible decision! We ordered our food around 10:45, didn’t get it until 11:40. Even then we were missing BOTH of our orders of fries. I looked at my mutant chicken wings thinking WTH!? I asked the waitress why they looked like that & her response was: “we haven’t gotten a truck so i think they had to run to walmart & get wings”. More like ran to the farm & butchered something! Then we finally get our french fries, which was supposed to be 2 separate orders. She brings them & says “this is a shareable basket”, which would be slightly okay if they weren’t DRENCHED in what tasted like putrid old grease! The togo order of tater tots was just the same! So after waiting almost an hour, my food wasn’t even edible! Thankfully the boneless wings were okay, probably because they came out of a bag from the walmart freezer isle too! I’ve tried to eat here twice now, months apart, only to be met with awful food & sub par service! I only gave 2 stars because our waitress was thankfully very sweet & understanding, & the food was taken off of our check after i complained! For a “wing place”, this is an awful choice. I won’t waste my money here a third time that’s for sure!
Terrible. Took 45 minutes just to get water. The host Jay did step up to the plate and starting getting drinks for us. After another 25 minutes went by he notice our server still hadn't come over. Jay then started taking orders. Others were experiencing the same issue and this young man who was not a waiter started helping people. He was awesome but the rest of the experience was terrible. After waiting over an hour and half our food came out but we were short an order. That was the first time we saw our actual waiter and at that time she informed us they were out of what we ordered. After speaking with the manager she told us the waiter had been told 30 minutes ago that they were out of this particular item. We were never offered a discount or or any kinda of solution by the manager just that she was happy we liked Jay so much. Probably won't go back. If you go definitely keep your eye out for Jay the hosts because he is the only bright spot for this place
I will never eat at this restaurant again. The experience was horrible. First, we had to walk past a puddle of water to get to our table, which was sticky and dirty and needed a good wipe down. The waitress was nice enough but it took 45 minutes to get our order and what we received could have stayed in the kitchen. Partially frozen fries and a cold cheeseburger with a soggy bun. The salad was made of 1/2 shredded cheese with very little lettuce. There is no reason a wing restaurant should take so long to prepare its food. We were seated close enough to the kitchen to see the entire staff just hanging out looking like they had nothing to do. Two of them appeared to be managers, but didn’t seem to be interested in speeding up service. Meanwhile, the puddle of water stayed on the floor as waitresses and managers just walked by it as if it would evaporate on its on. As we were leaving I noticed one manager playing on her cellphone at the bar which was directly in front of the puddle of water which she walked by several times. I guess you just can’t get good service anymore. At least not from this restaurant!
Went to our local Wild Wings Cafe in Aiken. My husband and I have been there several times and never had a problem with food nor service. The bright spot was that our server/bartender was very nice and refilled drinks promptly. While we were there, at no given time were there more than 4 tables with customers, but an entire booth of employees goofing off. The food was not even Luke warm. The Nashville hot sandwich had chicken that was barely a tender size, 3 pickles less than the size of a penny, no seasoning, no sauce, and so tough that I couldn't even eat 3/4 of it. The curly fries were obviously the bottom of the bag because they were awful and not even warm. We have had friends eat here one time and complain about the food and service... we always were quick to point out that we have never had a problem. Tonight, however, the food was not even edible. I have never worked in a restaurant kitchen before, but I know that I would be hard pressed to serve something that I knew looked awful and wasn't even remotely warm. Someone needs to help this place. Without help, it will be the next place to close in Aiken.Update... was contacted by a district manager. Told us more training would be done. Asked us to try again. Did not offer refund. Don't think I'm going back to waste my own money again. Offer us a meal and we will try again and post a new review, but not on my dime again
I am giving Samantha my 5 stars! We all know that Wild Wings is struggling. We all know the struggles they are having. Our food was good once it was right, thanks to Samantha. She is the reason we stayed. I’m glad we did. The music was good. Samantha made our night awesome. Thank you again.
My daughter (9) ordered wings off the kids menu, asked for mild. When they came out, they were “hot”. My Husband asked the waiter what flavor they were since they were so spicy to her. His reply was they were hot. My Husband says we ordered her mild. The waiter says well we don’t have a “mild” so…. He shrugged his shoulders and my Husband said well can we get just plain wings with no sauce. So we got that. I ordered the honey bbq chicken tender sandwich on sourdough, definitely don’t recommend. I took one bite and immediately knew something was off. I’m not sure if it’s just their style of honey bbq but it was not for me. Husband’s wings were burn, you could see the black under the sauce. This was not a busy night, it was us and one other table at the time.
If you're planning on going here to try their new advertisement for the all you can eat "Wing Bar", save your money. The "Wing Bar" costs $15.99 with the purchase of a drink. The bar was disappointing to say the least. All that was offered were four different flavors of wings, one of which were boneless. Along with the wings they also offered tater tots, french fries and a random plate of salad that I couldn't tell whether it was part of the buffet or not. The wings weren't the worst I've had, but they weren't anything special either. They were crunchy from sitting under the warmer and you had to stir the wings around to get any sauce on them. The sauce itself was very salty as well. I can't attest to how their fresh made wings are as this is the first time I've ever eaten there. I don't think I'll be back to be honest. I realize this "Wing Bar" is new, but if you're going to rip off your customers with low-quality food like this then you don't really deserve repeat business. In total I paid $42.70 after tax for salty, dried out and depressing wings. Wish I had turned right around as soon as I saw how the "Wing Bar" looked.
I've been coming to Aiken for work every Monday for the past month or so and have stopped by Wild Wings for lunch every time. The first 2 Mondays I came in were great. Then every Monday after that, it began declining. My servers have been great but the wings have gotten worse by the week. The one thing this place is known for is severely lacking. They no longer serve normal size wings, only the small ones. They started a "wing buffet" where I get my own plate and fix my wings with the limited options of rub/sauce wings. It's been placed under a heat lamp that doesn't work well because my food is cold by time I walk back to the table. There was about 4 wings left in each bin, fries were dry, and the tots were overcooked. I fixed my first plate of about 6 wings and had to wait almost an hour long for them to cook the next batch of wings for the buffet. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at any place I have ever eaten. I won't be coming back after this.
First, when I visited the first time they were turning people around at the door because the kitchen was backed up. I should have let that been a sign not to go back, but no, I tried again and that was a big mistake. The wings had to thaw out before they could cook them and when we got the wings, you couldn’t tell a drum from a flat, the fries came out 10 minutes before the wings, and the wings didn’t taste good at all. I was just really disappointed for the price. The only good thing was the fact that our server was nice and for our wait, they gave extra wings.
Ordered the nachos for an appetizer and it took the cooks 45 minutes to get it done, when it arrived it was cold and not done correctly. My family and I spoke to an individual that worked there and they were extremely rude. Asked to speak with the manager and she never came out. Horrible experience and would not recommend to anyone.
