Great food and great service! Wonderful place. We will definitely be back.
The meals were first presented to make your eyes pop and your mouth water. Then the flavor. Mercy me. Delicious. And we will be back again and again. Fun chatting with Jellybean too.
Our first time eating here. Prices are great. Food is even better! Real crab cakes! No fillers or bell peppers. Scallops were big and super sweet. Seafood pasta had tons of seafoood. Fried shrimp are big and tasty. Sauces are unique and bold. And the chocolate cake is THE BEST I have ever had anywhere. So good we had to get a piece to-go. Pleasantly surprised that this little gem in Aiken serves up such big flavors and an all around great experience. The chef even stopped by and said Hi. We'll definitely be back!
We enjoyed our lunch selections of fried catfish and Oyster po boy, both came with French fries. The catfish was delicious and the French fries were good too.The oysters were lightly breaded and perfectly deep fried. So many oysters on my sandwich that I had to eat half of them to just to pick it up. So good. Our waiter was polite an on the ball with refilling our drinks and checking in with us without being obnoxious. As for seating it was mostly booths, some with padding and some without. I only saw a couple of tables with chairs.Overall I would not hesitate to come back here in the future. ?
FYI - They filter the post on their Facebook site, so no negative comments..Made my first visit to Palmetto Seafood in Aiken. I had heard a few people talk about it and the reviews online look great! Time to give it a try. We walked in and were greeted immediately by staff. Very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated. We were seated right away. The waitress was fantastic! We order the oyster appetizer special. When they arrived at the table, I was a bit skeptical as they looked to have some sort of meal piled on them and bacon. They were pretty tasteless. I didn't eat them. But I figured, no worries, I order scallops seared in butter with a salad. They were not seared, they were grilled, small, and very dry. I ask to speak to the manager. His response was that's what they got on the truck this week. He did say he was sorry but that's it. So I paid over $25 for a side salad. The salad was good but not that good. Any place can have a bad day but under the circumstances, I won't return.
? Palmetto Seafood Aiken has easily become my FAVORITE restaurant in Aiken! If you haven't tried it, get down there now! The food is absolutely melt in your mouth incredible. Every single one of the wait staff has been super friendly and helpful. Today I had the honor of meeting Mr. Ron. Without complaint or hesitation he offered to go back and forth between the bar and outside to serve me. He is usually behind the bar so if you go make sure you say hi! The place is super clean and spacious. AND they are able to pull off being sophisticated and posh while also welcoming families with kids. They are open from 1pm to 9pm and their menus are listed below. Not listed, they also have a lot of specials!
My husband and I were unexpectedly in Aiken for the day and stumbled on this gem. We were outside glancing at the menu when the hostess opened the doors for the day. Opens at 1pm.The atmosphere even after people came in after us, was very pleasant and calm. The food was amazing. We had the crab cakes and I had the loaded fries. Both were very good.Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly. If we ever venture to Aiken again, this will be our go to spot.

First time visitors. Great service, great food, great long Island, and very generous portions. We had the palmetto seafood pasta which was enormous and very good. The shrimp and grits were awesome, same for the crab cakes. Great prices for the quality and quantity. Looking forward to trying other menu items. 5/5 highly recommend.
We ate there for the first time on a Thursday night. Brother & sister in law in town and they like seafood so we thought we would give it a try. Not a big crowd when we got there @ 6:30, but it did fill up some. Biggest problem was like others mentioned - service not good at all. Appeared to be understaffed + lacking in the kitchen as well. Took over 30 min for brother & sister in law to get their food. We told them to eat since it took so long. They finished eating before our food came out. I will say the food was good and everyone had nice portions. Salmon was very good. Seemed to be the issue with everyone there with the service. We'll give it another try and hopefully the service issues will be better.
