Like many others have said, it's not usually the food, it's the staff. I believe their sub par work ethic has also carried over to deliveries as well. I've ordered twice recently and neither time was all my food included. It's even more frustrating with delivery since you've already been charged. The food was good but I think it's time for an overhaul of the staff starting with management.
We go there weekly, and it has become downright bold when the cashier rings you up and asks if you will be leaving a tip, then HOW MUCH. First hand, we ALWAYS leave a generous tip (even though they are basically preparing the meal, and it is self serve). To ask a consumer this is rude. We spend quite a bit of $$$ there, so this review is not from an occasional visit.
Staff is rude as hell. I'm still polite, but don't ask me to leave a tip if you guys can't be bothered to be the least bit kind to people. They must be underpaid and overworked to have that kind of attitude so consistently. The food is great, that's the only reason for the 2nd star.
I love the food and used to go about 3 times a week but the past few times I've been there the employee's are very unprofessional and just rude. It sucks because the food is good but I won't be returning.
The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly. My only issue is that I ordered spicy chicken and it's all spicy and no chicken. It's just heat with no flavor. Perhaps they can rethink the recipe on that.
Ordered delivery and it was so messed up. Crushed chips and not very many of them for 2 people. NO salsa even though “red salsa” was checked on both meals through the ordering service and on the receipts. So we couldn’t eat the chips. And the burrito’s guacamole came on the side in a tiny little salsa cup. There should definitely be more guacamole that that when you pay extra and I mean how am I supposed to use it like that?? When I called I was sent to hold 3 times with no greeting and the 4th time it rang, they just picked it up and hung up immediately. I was quickly reminded why we switched to a different take out Mexican place years ago. I won’t make the mistake of ordering from here again.
Don’t work here, DEFINITELY don’t eat here unless u love diarrhea. I worked at moes and in my time there, was never not once instructed to greet anyone by any of the managers/coworkers. On top of this one if my coworkers was repeatedly misgendered who’s clearly a man and called rude names and offensive names over and over by not only other coworkers but even the shift supervisors. On top of this, my trainer instructed me to not only ignore the Official Moes Recipe Book I was given to learn the recipes by, but when showing me how to make the salsa said, his words not mine, “You don’t gotta worry about following these instructions, just be creative. I like to add a lot of heat, I be LIGHTING people up bruh!” And then with my own eyes saw him out at least 9 Kong proportioned, ungloved Handfuls of Jalapeños in the salsa that only asked for 1 cup. Saw alcohol behind eating area multiple times as well, fireball and such. Keep in mind; Moes don’t serve alcohol lol. Oh but wait folks, there’s more. As if that wasn’t bad enough, this is my 3rd time having to post this review because it was taken down the first time. I’m sure it will be Deleted again, so I’ll go ahead and copy and paste this. Lowly place, unsanitary! Welcome to Moes? Nah welcome to Diarrheaville!
Food was overly salted which made me quite sick for a while. Rice was crunchy/undercooked. I used to love Moe's but I don't think so anymore.
Food is very good. My brother goes there just about every Monday because they have a reduced price on a couple things he gets. Anyway, I'm from out of state. And I've went there twice with him. And both times they want to charge him the regular price. My brother is on a limited income. Why would you have to correct them every time. It makes you feel like you're asking for something extra. When it's posted on the windows. I think the staff should be reminded of customer service. So, customer's don't feel like this.
Visited Moes Sunday Jan 23 around 5:00pm and let’s just say I will never visit the Aiken location again. There were two employees behind the counter and not only was I not greeted, but no one asked may I help you. I left without giving my order. Never again.
