I enjoy mellow. The atmosphere is one of my favorite restaurants. They “accommodate” vegan which is awesome. Except when they don’t, which is more often than not. I’ve been going there for years and dealing with online ordering only to find “my order hasn’t been received” Or it’s wrong or etc. not to mention when you go in to order manually the tempeh sandwich “isn’t in the system so you have to order online” I never wanted to leave a low review. I spend money there weekly,But I’m finally done. So long mellow.
Glorified bar pizza. Crust is good but too many wet ingredients for it to stand up to so it ends up having a soft middle where cheese slides off. It’s as if Subway took the veggies and made a pizza out of it and tastes like it also. Had a brick oven pizza the other day from a small local establishment that far exceeded this and was the same price. Bruschetta was very good and well prepared and served. Our bill was $70 including tax and tip for a small and medium pizza plus a small side salad, $5 app and a coke. Not a good value as you can eat fine dining and much better pizza for that much. We waited a while to pay and it was one of those situations where you walk up to the front to get service. Had to ask them to do the bill over because they didn’t have the discount they advertised at the entrance entered reflected in the bill. The salad also came out after the entrees we ended up taking it home, in a pizza box mind you which was kind of soggy the next day. Then we had to ask for a ramekin top to take the dressing home. I ate the soggy salad anyway the day after. It took a while to check out and get boxes while nice but slow waitress was chatting with other employees. She was young and made the check mistake because she did not pay attention to the discount and had at first told us there was no discount until we had her confirm it with another associate. This caused us to wait unnecessarily because we had to go up to the from and have the manager fix the bill and then get boxes and then get our change. This process was like pulling teeth and annoying. They seem to hire the high school kids who are very nice but very immature and not very good at customer service. Don’t think we will be back because it just wasn’t worth the visit in any capacity.
I have a good and trustworthy account manager that allows me to withdraw my profits anytime I want and I can monitor everything going on in my account when she is busy trading with her expert team and I don't have issues with pending withdrawals. I must admit that Mrs Sandra Billy is a very honest woman. I have no way of thanking her than letting people know about her services and recommend her for everyone to trade on her platform. she is 100% accurate and up-to-date. I love the outdoor dining area and the fact that it’s dog friendly but I wish MM could get its act together. It’s just never consistent. Ever. Our appetizers were the meatballs and the bruschetta. Husband said the meatballs were good. The bruschetta was not the same as I’ve had in the past here. The crostini was much smaller and the 2 slivers of basil on the entire plate was a huge disappointment. I will say their feta is amazing. It’s 100% sheep vs a goat and sheep mix but it is creamy and not as sharp as typical feta. It pairs really well in this dish as I didn’t overwhelm it. My husband ordered the Funky Chicken and I ordered The Merry Prankster. We were both disappointed. His was bland and overcooked. Mine wasn’t the pizza I ordered and I thought I had made the mistake until I thought more about it. I only ate one piece. Here’s how the Merry Prankster is described on their menu- The Merry PranksterTake the trip less travelled. Starts with an herb aioli base layered with chicken, Italian sausage, garlic roasted red peppers, green bell peppers, mozzarella, Wisconsin aged white cheddar, and finished with an herb aioli drizzle. One look at my pic shows that’s not what I got. The heavy “drizzle” on mine was some kind of disgusting mayo concoction. There was no herb aioli base, the amount of sausage was laughable and it was seriously lacking in cheese. The pizza- both actually- were extremely dry. I had to ask for a knife as the pizza wasn’t cut through, the crust was tough and chewy and the kitchen cut it dumb. One tiny piece and a huge piece… I just don’t get it. I can’t comment on the service. We had 3 different servers and ran out of tea so there’s that. 2 1/2 ⭐️ would be more appropriate.
Wouldn't you know our one day in Aiken was on a Monday when pretty much every restaurant was closed. Lucky for us Mellow Mushroom was open. The place is quite large inside plus they have an out door tent and also a small deck with a handful of tables. Since the weather was absolutely perfect, we ate on the deck and did some people watching. Since it was my first time at a Mellow Mushroom, I had to try the pizza and ordered the Veg Out. It was good and the crust was great! My husband had the mushroom soup which I got to taste and wow!, i'll be getting that next time. For his meal he had the stuffed portabella mushroom with salad and he said it tasted great, but for $10 it was really small, check my pic. I will definitely be back to MM and try some of their other pies.
I always loved holy shiitake pizza from here. But it the first time ever I just want to throw away the online order I got. The person who fixed my food is new or high? I’m not sure. It tastes awful. Instead of creamy sauce on top, it tasted like creamy Italian sauce. I end up with sore pizza. Not going to spent my money there?
Love this place. The staff is all so friendly and accommodating. Food is so good and the atmosphere is chill and friendly. I love that I can sit outside on the patio with My dogs.
Good and tasty pizza. Great combinations to choose, friendly prices and serviceable employees. Only thing was the disposable silverware, a bit too cheap. Overall nice pizza place.
Place is drastically under staffed. Took over an hour to getting a table. When finally got the table their was trash on floor and table was dirty. Never once cleaned. Had no silverware and had to go get it myself. Food came out at different times and wrong food. 3 items we asked multiple times for and it never came. Manager came to the table when requested by table. We had to ask for the manager again to remind about food never coming. Ended up getting the last three entrees to go since we were now at there for over 3 hours. Learned the GM worked the morning, instead of the closing shift Saturday shift when they were busy and very short staffed. GM needs to address their own issues and is lucky the staff is friendly.
Don't go downtown to Mellow Mushroom. 40 minute wait with 5 empty tables outside, 3 high tops in the bar and 3 tables in the dining area. When confronted, the hostess says they are waiting on people ahead of us. No one was in there waiting to be seated. Do you do reservations ma'am? No is the answer. In 5 minutes of waiting, one couple shows up.
