I would give negative stars if I could. My entire family said the food was gross and definitely not worth the price. Papa John's pizza and other chain pizza places are better than this. I had authentic Italian pizza recently on a trip and expected it to be good like that, but it wasn't. The salad wasn't good, the pizza was so thin and flimsy that I couldn't even hold it in my hands, there was barely any cheese on the pizza and the crust was almost nonexistent, and the dessert was horrible - I'm a huge dessert person and the fact that I had to force myself to eat the dessert is a big statement. We were excited for the dessert so we ordered many different options to try all and it was a huge mistake. The bill was over $100 and it should NOT have been that expensive since it was not filling at all and it was gross. The worst part is that the owner is not a friendly person. I overheard him and another customer arguing at the table next to us. He told the customer that if he didn't like it, he should leave. The customer was very upset and asked the owner if he didn't care that his customers were upset. The owner should not have been arguing with his customers. That was very unprofessional especially since you rely on your customers to keep your business going.
This was really fantastic unique pizza. Totally worth the trip and we were from an hour and a half away. The crust taste better with every bite you can tell it’s fine ingredients. New Haven and Bianca were both tasty. Great chew on the crust. Walked away feeling satisfied and happy.
A friend in Augusta recommended this hidden gem when I mentioned that my husband had been on a pizza kick lately. We drove around an hour to get to an unassuming location in a strip mall. We were greeted upon entry and told to pick a table number then order at the front counter for dine in. There are two tables outside and tables and booths inside. After you order, pick up plates, silverware, and drink cups. You pay after eating.Carbonated drinks and water are self-serve. We ordered the garlic Parmesan cheese curds and they were so good. You could tell these thinly breaded curds were handmade. This appetizer was piping hot and delicious without being overwhelming. The pizza came out hot - a thin, hand-tossed pie and quality sauce. You can taste the difference in this wood-fired crust. We made the mistake of ordering two pizzas but one could easily be shared. At least we got to taste two different toppings, though! I built my own with extra cheese, ground beef, and spinach and my husband got the Carcerato. Our dessert cannoli came after they cleared the plates and brought a box for leftover pizza, and the server also brought two fresh forks. The cannoli was at a cool temperature and the custard inside was fresh, creamy ricotta marked with citrus overtones. The regular cannoli was a great size for sharing and a perfect finish to the meal, but the mini cannolis sound like fun options too. There is a great appetizer and dessert menu for a location focused on pizza, and I would come back if we are nearby.
First time eating here. Birthday dinner ordered out. We got calamari appetizer and a new haven and capricissa pizza. Wow was it delicious. I've never had a light pizza like that before. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. They are small but worth every penny. We had no left overs because it was so delicious. We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend this pizza spot.
On my off Friday after visiting Cold Creek Nursery (check them out if you have not) for gardening needs, I decided to stop here for lunch. This was my second time visiting and could not really remember my first trip. Ordered a pepperoni calzone. The calzone lacked flavor which would have been a 3 rating for me. The 3 rating was decreased based on customer service which was worst than my calzone. I try really hard to support and frequent local business. Next time if I have a taste for pizza in Aiken it will be Mellow Mushroom. Not once in my original review did I state anything about the $8 credit card minimum because it was not the issue. A lack of customer service and having a credit card requirement amount are not synonyms with each other.
Had lunch there today The bruschetta was very fresh and delicious. Probably one of the best I've had. The pizzas were hot, fresh, and delicious. I lived in Naples, Italy so I am familiar with authentic Neapolitan style pizza. Was well worth the drive from Augusta to have lunch at this restaurant today. The employees were attentive and Ienjoyed talking with the owner after we were done eating. We will definitely be back next time we are in Aiken.
After reading many of the bad reviews, just don't mind them any attention. It's obviously untravelled southerners who have never left their hometown and have no idea what pizza is. This place is great. Go eat at Domino's if your pallet sucks that much lol. Also if you think this guy is rude, you wouldn't last 5 minutes north of the Mason Dixie line. And if the mask rules bother you then you need a lesson on private property.
We came in with a large party and ordered several pizzas and apps. Our pizzas were baked beautifully and the bruscetta was the best we've had in a very long time. Everything was brought out in a timely manner. My only complaint is the interaction with the owner. Initially, he was not friendly or hospitable. However, he apologized to my wife for his demeanor and more than made up for his attitude with his food.We will come again next time we're in the Aiken area.
They did not have what I wanted and the service was terrible. First and last time I go here. I forgot to mention the food was also terrible, my pizza was burned and it smelled like smoke it didn't even tasted like pizza. This place makes little caesar look good.
Pizza was as limp as a noodle. Pizza took forever along with a few more issues. First and last visit ??♀️
