We had the Bolognese, no taste, like it was out of a can, the sausage and rabe, not favor, home made sausage was bland, only flavor was the kale, had the dinner special chicken, thank god for the green beans, the only item that tasted good. Made a reservation, for table of two, had to sit at the bar, while there were tables for four open and had three parties of 2 sitting at the table for 4. Why make a reservation? Save your money and go to McDonalds!
Vanda is one of my favorite spots in Rhode Island, a must visit when I’m in town! From the service to the food and the bar, there is nothing I don’t love about having dinner here!
The food was so good. And some surprises. We had an appetizer with buratta artichoke and pureed eggplant, trust me the eggplant was very good in that app.For dinner my wife had the sirloin over polenta and I had the gnocchi with mozzarella and 1 meatball. The food was so delicious. And for dessert we had the signature olive oil cake and the caramel toffee dessert. We had a lot of food to take home, and the food was so delicious we will be back many times for sure!!
Excellent kitchen. We tried the eggplant appetizer - really tasty. And both fish specials (swordfish and schrod) were very well prepared. Mark was excellent as our waiter. The only negative is the place is too loud. We really had to speak very loudly to hear each other. They really should turn the music down so it is only in the soft background. And they should consider methods to dampen the sound (not so easy with lots of glass, but still important). But for pure Italian cuisine, this place is as good or better than any of the places I have tried on Federal Hill. I will definitely return if in the area.
Dinner with friends again at Vanda! Always delicious food. Three of us ordered the chicken Millenese and one the swordfish. Everything was outstanding.
I cannot praise the Chef at Vanda enough. One bite in, it became wonderfully obvious that the meals here are created and prepared by people who love good food and who love sharing good food with others. And this food was so much more than “good.” It was perfect.Our server, Mark, was excellent. His recommendations were spot on, and he was attentive but didn’t rush us through the meal.We recommend you put in a reservation if going after 6pm. We got there right at 6 and there wasn’t a wait, but it quickly filled up - and after the 5-star experience we had, it’s no wonder.
Not sure why I have not heard about this restaurant in Warwick until now. Absolutely love the food and do make some space for the dessert because it is so worth it.
Very good Italian restaurant. staff is very helpful in making you understand the food items.we enjoyed eating calamari and pork chops.
Place is incredible and never disappoints. Chef Gina puts out some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in my life, and the desserts here are on another level. Larry and Judy do a fantastic job behind the bar and the manager Marissa runs the front of the house like every single customer is a VIP and she gives them all 5 star treatment. No need to head into the city anymore, just head over to apponaug in Warwick.
Food is delicious! Waitress was sweet.
