I have to say the food is very good. Great flavor and a great quick bite.
This place used to be a decent place for Mexican food but my most recent experience has caused me to throw their menu away. Ordered a three meal take out and was told 35-40 minute wait. Acceptable for a Friday night. Arrived on time and paid for my order almost immediately. 15-20 minutes later I inquired about my order and was told another 5-10 minutes as they were just starting my order. Are you kidding me? Meanwhile other customers are complaining about the lack of meat in their tacos, other patrons in before me still waiting. Someone who appeared to be the manager or shift supervisor is waltzing around the place without a care in the world. i don't know who owns this company but they should be ashamed of themselves and their hired help.
Pretty mediocre tacos. Equivalent to taco bell. Price wise, and taste wise. Clean and good tacos buts only hits the spot temporarily.
First Google review ever in my life. I understand that every restaurant is raising their prices due to inflation but they raised the whole menu $2 and now the burritos are way smaller then what they were prior to the prices being raised. Not the first time I’ve noticed this either.
So I ordered from California tacos tonight I ordered chicken tenders both of my orders were partially Raw live right around the corner from them enjoyed their food for a couple of years will never ever go back there again my $30 that I spent on food will be the last $30 I spend on food don't ever go there to eat Mexican you're better off going to Taco Bell should have took a photo of the raw chicken and they didn't even offer a refund they wanted to remake my order I will never eat there again take my advice stay away from this location
My First time at this location, the food is ok ? and customer service is ok. The place need major renovation, customer service needs a lot of improvement same as the food .I had a chicken ? quesadilla, Not impressed with any things there.
This place actually surprised me a little bit but in a good way. Though it was gonna be another Chipotle or Moe's. But it's actually much better and way more authentic. Had the Carne asada tacos. In the corn tortilla and they were great. Definitely will go back for more.
The food was fine. I ordered a burrito and it is very filling.I prefer the Plainfield St or Hartford Ave locations though. Their food have a bit more flavor.
I went to California Taco Shop after a quick side gig. I was immediately drawn in to the colorful dining area. On the left was the counter to order.I ended up ordering the nacho fries with shredded chicken. Which looked and sounded delicious. By the time I was able to eat it, about an hour and a half later, it was still slightly warm, and a tasty mess of melted cheese, chicken, and potato-ey goodness. Two spoonfuls of guacamole and sour cream stood atop the carbohydrate madness.Of note was that some of the fries looked like they bonded to the styrofoam the food was placed in. That didn't look too appetizing.The staff there were friendly and the food prepared in about 10-15 minutes.No score on sustainability or Covid precaution safety measures.
Every time I order online the food is always late! This place needs to step up on online orders. I placed my order half hour earlier than usual to get it at the time I needed it, but I literally waited inside the restaurant half hour for the food to actually be done. I feel embarrassed and sorry for the guy up front who keeps apologizing which is not his fault. But literally this place needs to do something about it, so their costumers can place their orders accordingly, food is good but their time frame is very poor.
