Great fish and chips! One of my personal favorite underrated or somehow unknown restaurants in town. An older woman upon arrival to the neighborhood, pulled up and asked what a buttonwood was. I told her it's a great spot for fish and chips!

always a great breakfast and anything else you be there it's funny they leave the kitchen door wide open you know why because they are one of the only restaurant that has nothing to hide oh you're very clean and friendly atmosphere I recommend a lot of use try it

Went in for a birthday lunch and was completely satisfied. Had a roast beef sandwich w/fries and lightly battered onion rings which was a real treat. Wife had fish and chips...big portions. Great menu and great service. We'll be back.
Very good fish n chips
We came based on the good reviews. It’s kind of a small dining room but cozy. We got there with only 15 minutes to spare, they close at 7 on Fridays. They were very gracious and accommodating. The service is very good. Many people knew each other. The owners came spake with us and wanted to know a little about us. I liked the personal touch. The menu is classic American. My wife had the lobster roll (16.00 by itself) and I had the fish and chips (13.00 by itself). It can also come in a chowder combo for a few dollars more. My kids each had their own sandwich, which is way bigger than a child needs but they loved it. I will have them split one next time. The value here is very good. Decent prices, good portions, and well done food. It was all really good and the 4 of us, having our entrees, still only ran of bill of around $50.00. The fish and chips had a nice crispy seasoned batter and the fish was cooked well. The fries aren’t crispy but they are real, fresh cut, potatoes and they were very good. I was impressed by this little place; a nice hometown feel with very good food. It’s not fine dining by any means, but a great place to go to get a smile and not have to cook.

BEST Fish and Chips we've ever had!!! Would rate it 10 stars if that option was available. Buttonwoods is about 2 hours from our home, but we go out of our way to eat there. It's definitely worth the trip. We always say we'll try something different, because they have a great menu, but find ourselves ordering the fish and chips every time. Thanks Tony and Jackie.
This place has some of the best fish n chips I have had anywhere. Truly the absolute best fried whole belly clams anywhere. Any where! Love it here. Every week the foods great. Never changes. Always excellent. 5 stars!!!!
