I ate here while visiting Providence. This restaurant is located close to downtown, and it was hard to find parking, I wonder if they could strike a deal with the gas station next door for the 20 empty spots they'd gain. The building is open-air and roomy inside, and has a lot of tables outside by the road as well. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the kitchen definitely takes pride in their work. The food was outstanding, authentic Mexican food. The majority of the menu is tacos or alcohol, and I'd give the money factor a $$$ due to the drinks. Even an 8oz bottle of soda costs $4, with some margaritas over $10 apiece. I think the food was reasonably priced based on the quality of the ingredients. They also serve grasshoppers, if you prefer. I did not try the grasshoppers. My meal was the Al Pastor platter, which was 2 tacos filled with adobo-marinated pork, pineapple, and salsa, with sides of black beans and Mexican rice. It was so delicious, and even the black beans were worth complimenting due to the perfection of the spices.
So happy I decided to stop here for lunch. Split street corn, chips and salsa, and 4 tacos with my fiance over some cocktails. Not a bad bite in the bunch! Everything was delicious, but the barbacoa taco was out of this world. We had the blueberry cheesecake flan for dessert which was also incredible. Our server Kayla was awesome and made it a great experience. The decor is cool and funky and the atmosphere was great.We will definitely be back!
It was an interesting experience. Lots of choices as far as drinks and food go. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something fun and new to try!
Just started a new job in Providence and numerous colleagues suggested I try Xaco Taco out for lunch. I did and was more than pleasantly surprised. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I sat at the bar and the bartender was quite attentive and quick. I had the Shrimp Diablo tacos (2 of them) and they were delicious. Looking forward to my return to Xaco Taco!

The tacos are delicious. The salsa for the chips & salsa was an excellent salsa verde. The horchata was addictive - couldn't help but have three glasses. The street corn was also really delicious. Though I was a bit disappointed it was served in a cup rather than on a cob - a seasonal thing? The atmosphere is rustic and casual, great for sharing food with friends or family. Overall, a very solid taco joint and enjoyable experience.
A short walk 5 minutes from Aloft hotel. Delicious food and great service. Derek makes a wonderful spicy margarita! Recommended the carne asada tacos. The rice was nicely spiced and delicious. Black beans with nice flavor. Quick service at the bar and nice crowd. Ambiance is great with Spanish music ? ! I like it hot do i added some habanero hot sauce! Highly recommended if you want some generous tacos ?!! The price is right too!

Xaco Taco is the jam. I always have a good time when I come here. Their margaritas are great, the guacamole is worth getting every time, the tacos are TDF...to die for! The food comes out fresh and surprisingly fast every time. I tried the quesabirria for the first time last night. WOW. That consommé is so flavorful and light. The tacos had the perfect crisp and filling to dip. We have had the churros and the flan for dessert. I can't tell you which one is better because they are both delicious in their own right. This is one of my staple Providence taco joints. Xacoooo!!! ???❤
First timer. My 84 year old friend had never had a taco so I came here for takeout for her. Absolutely delicious. The parking is a little rough but other than that I highly recommend.
