I want to love this place but it's so wildly disorganized that I don't know how it runs. They frequently have limited stock. I don't think I've had a single produce shopping experience where the wrong code wasn't keyed in.I've been trying to cancel my membership and get a refund in advance of moving for over a month and I have spoken to the manager twice as well as at least 5 other staff members. It's like that spiderman meme where they're all pointing at one another; it's been a total runaround. At every other coop I've been a part of, they just issue you a cash refund when you close out your membership when you move. This store is very convenient for essentials when you need something on the way home, but do not get a membership. It is not worth the expense or the hassle.

I LOVE this co-op so much! It's small, but it has almost everything I need. They have a FREE composting program, which I love since I'm not permitted to compost at my apartment. The people who work there are so friendly and kind, and it is honestly more affordable than any of the big chain groceries I used to shop at before I became a member. If you're low income you can get an FFA membership which has truly been a lifesaver/game changer for me. They have lots of plant-based and vegan options, as well as local meats and seafood. Makes it really easy and affordable to shop local! Their bulk section is also the best in Providence, as far as I know. Lots of nuts and grain options, and they also have a bulk section for spices and loose teas. I love and appreciate this co-op so much, thank you urban greens!

This is one of my favorite places to go grocery shopping. I usually bring my own containers to fill up on beans, lentils and nuts. Plus there's a refill station for herbs and spices. They offer composting outside the facility, earlier you needed a membership/to pay to put scraps and now you can add them for free! Everyone is very helpful in the store, not to forget they sell Narragansett yogurt here which is my fave! Bubble tea house and nice slice are just around the corner too! ?

Loved this place when we lived in Providence. I love the variety they bring to the local community and their pledge to providing access. Lots of options for healthy food.

Such a great local grocery store with a great variety of items, good quality fresh produce and even tasty prepared food items. What a nice change from the large commercial chains. Very impressed.

Their selection has expanded beyond belief since they opened - to a really wide range of items. We’re members and their 5% off (twice a month) member benefit really helps our family shop here for weekly groceries. Plus UG stands by and uplifts the local community by fundraising for area nonprofits and causes. They really try to encompass what it means to be a co-op and serve the community through food and other means.

Best deal on oysters in town, and they're fresher than 'the big chain natural food place'!Despite its size, this place can almost surely meet your grocery needs, even if you need specialty foods.

Fresh local goods all in one place. The memberships are also at really affordable prices and can be paid over the course of many years so anyone can afford it. Being a member also means a 10% discount on all items so it’s worth the investment for fresh foods, local businesses and supporting the sustainable market

Glad I found this place. It's conveniently located close to my home. They support other local small batch companies and farmers. They host special events that I like to attend. Well worth becoming a member.

Love this spot! Not only do they give me a non-Amazon-owned option for groceries, but they have a super great selection and some cool features like a station to refill kombucha and a large bulk food section. You can get everything you need and feel good about supporting a local business.
