We visited the zoo on a Monday morning, so there were very few people in the park. This made it very easy to socially distance ourselves. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. Our visit was a last minute decision as we were headed home from Providence, but we were able to purchase our timed tickets a few hours ahead of time. Again, this is probably because it was a week day. We were able to easily visit all the exhibits and spend as much time as we wanted at each one. The signage in the park was clear and helpful. Our son is 4, and the park was easily walkable for him. A handful of concession stands were open. I would recommend packing snacks and water, especially if you’re visiting on a higher-traffic day. I’m glad we visited on a weekday, and would love to spend a whole day there when we have more time in the area.
The zoo has free parking. Online ticketing is recommended and tickets are date and time sensitive. The zoo is slightly hilly with good paths and some shade. During my visit is saw cheetahs, a snow leopard, zebras, elephant, giraffe, bison, pronghorn, alpaca, eagles and much more. The indoor exhibits were closed. A few food carts were open around the zoo, but the main food court and the only gift shop are at the "top" of the zoo. This is the highest elevation area and about as far from the entrance as you can get. I felt that the signage was poor. COVID-19: Employees were masked and visitors were expected to remain masked and observe social distancing. There were "animal tracks" to guide you along the circuit through the zoo.
Nice, clean, friendly, fun. The weather, construction, and Covid limited how many animals we saw but we saw a lot. Simple layout made for stress free trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was slightly underwhelming but it was very nice
I'm trying to head to swan paddle boats but I do not know nor can I get ahold of anyone that can tell me if they are open. Thursday March 25,2021. can anyone lmk if they are open?
They let too many people in to keep 6 ft distance. Lines up to 30 min wait to get into elephant pavillion. Animal statues turned over and covered up. Its like they werent ready to be opened.Very diappointing visit.
great restaurant, awesome tasty food collection, friendly staff.
Over priced with less than adequate food
Good food reasonably priced
The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting. Wish I had tried this place sooner to be able to sit outside or on the rooftop. The food was delicious 😋. No complaints at all. Definitely will go back ðŸ‘
