There are dozens of small complaints we could write about. There is a club on the ground floor that the staff assured us we would't hear from our third floor room. Not true, the sound of loud intoxicated patrons outside the entrance interfered with our sleep. The bathroom is big, but spartan. No shelves or storage space for 2 people's toiletries. It's so dark (black walls) that I couldn't shave. The lighting in general is terrible. The TV remote was barely responsive to channel and volume changes. And so on and so on. We would never stay here again.
The rooms don’t have microwaves or refrigerator and that makes the stay inconvenient for travelers staying more than one night.Parking is $32 a night. So if you think you’re getting a deal be sure to add $32 to the price. There interior is trying to hard to be artsy with garish red lighting in the hallways. However the front desk person was lovely. That second star is for the front desk.
Really neat hotel, super trendy with a distinct identity, in a good location downtown. Walkabout to Federal Hill (Little Italy), and across the Providence River to College Hill. Once you take the tiny old-school elevator up, you feel like you're in for an experience. And you are! Room was super cool, super modern. Would absolutely stay here again next time in town.
Guest set off fire alarms, cussing, screaming banging on escape door and our window at 2am. Wedding guests running around all hours of the night We were told we would credited for our stay. This never happened. Follow through is key in customer service. We will not be back.
Room was smallish but nice. Bathroom was about 40% of total room size, could be bigger though. Suggest even 50-50 split. Rocks-size glasses in bathroom were deceptively lightweight. Like, so light I almost tossed it across the room on accident. Up to you on whether this is a good or bad thing. Picture of boobs in bathroom was appreciated. Picture of stern-faced-judging-man in bedroom was anxiety-inducing. Suggest maybe swapping them? Bed was comfy with nice sheets and comforter, but was kinda squeaky. Again, could go either way depending on your goals. BONUS - do you like claustrophobic elevators with red lighting threatening to snip your fingers off with their scissor-action gates? I do. My girlfriend, not so much. OVERALL - 7/5 would book again.

Arrived On Friday Night - A very large baby crib was in the middle of our small room. We don't have children. The next day when I told the front desk they said "my apologies" Arrive From A Family Gathering On Saturday Night - We walked into our room and the bed was not made, the towels and not been refreshed, there had been no clieaning service to our room. Well, at least the crib had been removed. The next day when I told the front desk, my apologies. Sunday Morning - We wife's sistet was visiting us. I asked if we could use the hotel parking. While we were guests at the hotel, we dd not have a can (were not taking up a spot) and only 4 of the 13 spots were taken, I was told by the front desk that steet parking on Sunday was free. I rarely write reviews because I don't want to spend the time / effort to do it. Congratulation - the Dean Hotel. you angered me enought to write a review.
We had a King suite room, one of their largest, which was about the size of most average hotel rooms. Very comfy bed, few amenities, eg no fridge or iron. Great location for exploring downtown. Parking lot next door is expensive at $34 USD/day. Great Bolt coffee and a few pastries available for breakfast. Old fashioned small lift and stairs means managing multiple bags is challenging.
I absolutely loved my stay, the bunk bed room was so cool and I can’t wait to have another reason to stay there. My dinner at North was one of the best meals of my life. My latte at Bolt was spot on. The speakeasy was mysterious and another cool experience and my dirty martini was delicious and perfect.
Small room. Smallest queen size bed ever. The “additional seating” was a hard desk chair at small desk. Shower did not drain properly. Scary small dark manual elevator, had to walk last flight. Manager never responded.
