The taste is very very good -delicate and you can see the chef cares a lot about the flavor design. The calamari is a pleasant surprise, taste different from all the calamari I’ve tried. The “flower tower” is amazing.
Wow! Sweetest service! The food was amazing, best sushi in Providence by far. The owner is very kind and made sure to thank every customer who came in. Get the Richmond Street roll, I’ll be coming back for it regularly!
The best sushi I have ever had. Not only that but great staff! The calamari is to die for as well as the chocolate flourless cake -which apparently is made in house with 80% dark chocolate. Ladies when I tell you by the cake will fix you after a breakup I am not lying!!! The atmosphere is amazing and the owner even gave me a free shot since it was a special occasion for me! You can't beat the quality of the sushi or the staff here. Great bar selection as well and very accommodating. It's not good it's excellent!!!!
Delicious food the staff and owner are the best
My wife and I were searching for a place for sushi and came across Somo. We are glad that we did! Somo is newly renovated with a modern vibe. Open concept with a nice bar. The drink menu has a nice variety of cocktails. The food menu offers a good selection of choices. We enjoyed the pork dumplings, the Somo sushi plate (yellowtail, white tuna, and salmon), an Unagi roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The food was super fresh and it was nicely presented. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Great, friendly service! Drinks were delicious, the sake selection was small but obviously curated and delicious. We arrived as a group of 5 and ordered 10 different rolls all together. Nobody was disappointed, they were all delicious and made to perfection. The appetizers were perfect, we ordered the truffle fries and oysters. Cannot recommend this place enough!
This is a delightfully dramatic sushi spot. Each dish is visually stunning and equally tasty. It is on the more expensive side (as the ingredients are fresh & high quality). Would recommend for a special night out.There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking nearby.
How is this place rated at 4 stars plus?Maybe people have low standards in this city? The atmosphere and vibe are a huge question mark. The service is poor slow and unfriendly. Our waitress left the restaurant mid meal for 20 mins. I had to order ketchup from the sushi chef lol. The food was tasteless and bland kinda like gas station sushi. All rice no flavor. And after all of that the bill comes and it's not cheap. Bottom line: you don't get what you pay for ! Better spend your money elsewhere.

Delicious food. The presentation was amazing. Drinks were a little expensive, but tasted amazing so I can live with the price. I definitely recommend!!!
