Had to stop here in our way home from visiting Providence. Enjoyed yummy breakfast and took bread and muffins home for later. Everything was delicious. Espresso drink was particularly smooth and tasty.Place is super busy with regulars who know what they want. Line was long but moved quickly. As newbies, we felt pressured to order quickly and not ask a bunch of questions. Also we couldn't read the signs indicating which breads were available, so we had to ask several times as our first choices were sold out.Parking and seating is available but limited and had to jostle to find both.
Delicious food and good vibes! I’m visiting from Pittsburgh and people kept telling me to check out this bakery - now I see why! The staff were super kind and the food was delicious! It’s a great environment to work (no wifi though!). Highly recommend the ham and cheese croissant!
The drinks are amazing. I got an ice lavender matcha latte and it is so rich. Guy at the counter was super nice. Love this place
Go for the seeded spelt bread and the oat squares--both are absolutely delicious. Coffee is great, too! This is my go-to place for both!
This was the weirdest bakery visit for us. We thought of taking a drive and grab a coffee. We drove 2 hrs from CT on a Sunday. The bakery seemed pretty spacious and has its own parking too, which is good. I ordered my usual caramel latte with nonfat milk.My partner ordered his usual double shot espresso. The staff asked what kind of milk he wants!! It's double shot espresso, why would you add milk! We even showed him on the menu board which one we are referencing to. He still said I don't know I will try by not adding milk but it generally doesn't allow it!! We were extremely confused and asked him a couple of times. Do you need to add milk for an espresso shot? Anyways we paid and waited for coffee. My latte was okay. Next, the barista asked my partner what milk he wants with his chai!!! Chai!! We didn't order chai! When we asked him he said the order is entered as chai!!! How can you misunderstand double shot espresso as chai!! I mean even if you didn't understand our accent but still chai and a double shot of espresso are so far from each other phonetically! And we even showed him on the board what we wanted! And you charged us extra because chai costs more than espresso!! And that they even didnt offer to correct! We were extremely annoyed with the experience and just left.
Their nitro is definitely the best. The nitro actually lasts for a couple of minutes and you can see it cascade. Places like Starbucks around here in RI, and Hummindbird cafe or I think its now Kaffeology, splurt out some cold brew with some foam on top and call it nitro and charge an extra 3 dollars when its just a $3 cold brew. If you like nitro come here. If you like bread definitely come here.
The coffee was great this visit. I got the light roast. The ginger biscuit, as always, also great. Service fantastic and I regret not leaving a tip.
My favorite bakery. They have the best lemon cakes, berry muffins. And omg try the Vermont cheddar bread.... toasted with jam.
We stopped by for hot drinks and a quick bite to eat. While our visit was quick, I wish it could have been substantially longer. And that I had a way to take some of everything with me. The sweets and breads were amazing. Fantastic little neighborhood bakery!!
As a Hope street regular, the team never disappoints. I tend to go early as I enjoy the morning staff and fresh goodies! Even when busy the service is always fast and pleasant. could never go wrong with a Croissant or quiche, I've yet to find something on their menu I haven't liked. My all time favorite is the Russian tea cakes (a winter/Holiday special) though I would LOVE for them to be an all year round treat, they are a nice surprise when in shop! In addition they have great quality espresso!Well rounded and pleasant atmosphere.
