Beautiful old school bakery on Historic Fed Hill. Friendly staff who answered any and all questions we had. Good selection of traditional pastries with some modern cupcake flavors.

Such high quality ingredients in every item. The enjoyable result of their baking artistry, brings a smile with every bite. Always worth being their patron.

I went with a group and we had a wonderful tour of the kitchen area. Our hostess and the bakers were very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Most of us purchased bread, pastries, etc. and brought them back on the bus with us. Local and authentic.

What a delightful bakery with gracious staff. Plenty of choices to box up for takeout or individual bags of sweets for purchase. I chose carrot cake and an almond cupcake. Absolutely delicious. The carrot cake was one of the best I’ve had. I also purchased a beautiful cross cookie and some prune bars and Italian wedding cookies already bagged to go for family members. We will definitely return to this bakery.

Great bakery. Lemon bar was very good. Delicious chopped nut cookie balls rolled in powdered sugar.

I needed a birthday cake to take to work and was recommended this place. Although they do not have a website to place orders, it was easy to place the order via phone. I chose the chocolate cake with yellow frosting and it was delicious! Do recommend it! Good service and price. They have a parking lot which makes it easy for pickup in this busy area.

Ordered 6 rolls @ $1.75 each. Really! They where so hard as a rock, no taste at all…totally terrible. Next, a pkg of biscottis (4 small) $4.50, again hard as a rock, no taste, very stale. I know biscottis are a little bit hard, This was beyond awful. Very, very disappointed in there prices, quality and weak selection . Wish I could be a regular customer, sorry!

Bakery is amazing so fresh! Had the best cake we ordered in years

Not the same Scialo’s anymore. I have ordered all of my family’s cakes, including my wedding cake, from Scialo’s. The former owner’s Facebook page has some photos of my previous orders. I ordered my children, back in October, elaborate Bluey and Bingo cakes for their birthday (full bodies). 5 days before their birthday, at 5:30 at night, I received a call from the bakery that they did not have a cake decorator, and hadn’t for over 2 weeks. They asked that I scale back the cakes for their junior cake decorator- I did. The former owner, who is a manager for the new owners, assured me that the junior cake decorator was confident she could make my new cakes. This is what I received (note: one of the 2 cakes shown). I ordered 6 inch cakes and they charged me $165 for this amateur work. When I stated I was dissatisfied and couldn’t believe they were charging me full price when I did not receive a professional cake, one of the girls from behind the counter told me that she thought her “colleague didn’t a great job”. The other told me it was “good enough for 4 year olds”, and if I “didn’t like it, [I] could leave it…. ON THE DAY OF THE PARTY! To add insult to injury, they charged me for a loaf of bread I needed. I will not be back.Update: I heard from the former owner today and received my money back. However, I am still very disappointed with how the bakery handled this. They seems to be blaming the pandemic (can’t get a cake decorator) and the age of their counter staff for the service I received.

Always excellent. Great for fresh bread, pastries, cakes, pizza strips and spinach pies.
