Enjoyed our meal at Sarto. Staff was very accommodating with our last minute reservation and request for outdoor seating.
We were bicycling through New England and researched restaurants near our hotel. We chose Sarto because it seemed to be Italian with a twist. We were not disappointed. The cocktails were interesting, and delicious. The wine list was extensive. The food was perfect after a day of riding, great pasta with innovative pairing with oxtail sausage. We split the brown butter cake for dessert and both of us raved over the flavor and texture. It wasnât what we expected (probably a good thing) but it was unique and incredible.

Kinda awkward service. Pasta was cold and they charge for bread (and never told us). Our table was by the one single-person restroom and we had a crowd around our table most of the meal waiting to use it.
Glad this restaurant is open again! Food is always great and I find the atmosphere relaxing. Love the spritz menu.
Nice style inside and out. Comfortable high top seating. Pleasant but not real attentive service. Appetizers tasty. Dinners expensive for both content and portion size. Hostess - disheveled, confused, seriously off-putting. Tried to seat us at a table that had been cleared but obviously not wiped down, so we pointed it out and were seated elsewhere.
The cheese and meat board for two was disappointing. If they can only afford to give a nickel sized dollop of soft cheese then they should have a quality cheese with a lower price point on the menu. For two people it was embarrassing how small the portions were. And I don’t expect large American sized portions, even in the EU this would be considered skimpy, hard to share and enjoy. However, the brown butter cake was worth the wait.
Drinks and wine were painfully slow coming from the bar. Appetizers were pretty good and entree was just OK and just as slow coming from the kitchen. Felt bad for our waiter.
My first visit won’t be me last! Walking distance from the theater. Our food was outstanding and the waitstaff was extra attentive and made wonderful suggestions.
