I got handed an apple strudel in a plastic bag. Considering the quality of other cafes in the area, I wouldn’t expect starbucks-esque packaged baked goods, especially on the first floor of a famous hotel. I would suggest the starbucks down the street.

This place gets a big AVOID. Can not give zero stars but Zero stars is what they deserve. Not a friendly staff at all... Rude, pretentious, and unaccomadating. The coffee was terrible. If the coffee was good I may have given them one star. Not sure if this place is affiliated with The Graduate hotel, if it is they may want to reassess. Spend your hard earn dollars at another coffee place.

I was so happy when Poindexter opened its doors again. They have super yummy coffee, my favorite is the mocha. Perfectly located, with some of the most helpful staff and reasonable prices, Poindexter is great for a delicious morning pick-me-up. I'm a teacher and this is a perfect place to do some planning or grading. The wifi is free. Also, they have free pencils!

Went to this cafe this morning and this experience was more than underwhelming. The tables didn’t look like they had been wiped down in a while and the floor didn’t look like it was clean. The staff seemed inconvenienced with a simple order. Good coffee though….

They close at 2:00 PM.If you are looking for coffee in the late afternoon hours, it may be prudent to call any place before going. A convenience store is close nearby for some caffeinated beverages.

Two drip coffees took a long time to come out. They told us the kitchen was closed even though the customers in front of us ordered food. This is after we waited in line for fifteen minutes. As a guest at the hotel, it is very frustrating to have to wait this long for coffee (there is no coffee in the rooms) and to not have any food available at the hotel.

Stayed at the Graduate Hotel on a recent girl’s trip to Nashville and stopped here our first morning in town for quick breakfast and coffee. Our coffee came out quickly, but tasted burnt. Our food took forever to come out. It took well over 30 minutes (after a few prompts to our waiter) for my friend to receive her cup of oatmeal. It took an additional 20 minutes and several more prompts to the waiter to receive my breakfast sandwich - and when it finally did come out, was burnt to the point of being inedible. We, again, had to ask our waiter several times for a refund for the food. He wasn’t friendly or apologetic about the situation at all. I also reached out to management to let them know about the situation - I haven’t heard anything back from them. This must simply be how they operate. There are other breakfast and coffee shops near by - visit one of those places instead.

Definitely a good place for a breakfast sandwich. To keep it short and sweet, they definitely season your eggs instead of making you do it yourself. Worth the walk to grab a morning bite.

While staying at the Graduate for two weeks I witnessed a lot of mismanagement at this cafe. Some days they have cups, sleeves, good coffee and utensils and other days they don’t. It seems like the pastries aren’t fresh and depending on the barista you might get a cold shoulder. I still enjoyed the token coffee for guests and the random muffins I would get although I always requested apple.

Pretty quiet on a Tuesday morning. Not a cheap spot, but has nice decor and lots of open spots. Long table with 6x power outlets, and then tables by the window have outlets underneath. 50/20 wifi is plenty for light work.
