Went here for lunch yesterday. It was delicious. Very similar concept to the VShops that was in Miami a few years before this opened. I’m excited to be so close! Settled on New Burger after looking around but can’t wait to try the crest your bowl place!!
Apparently, this establishment has three different sections; This review is about the upstairs dining area, and a brief word about the downstairs market.I was out of state visiting a relative for a little while. We decided to go out to this restaurant and try the upstairs dining area. We got upstairs, and it was one of the most beautiful and most open spaces I've ever seen! Plenty of tables and booths, a wraparound bar, all with a great view to Providence to boot! The atmosphere was very pleasant, elegant, and it felt like I was in a proper, more expensive restaurant. The staff acted accordingly too, with attention to detail and accommodating to the likes I've never witnessed before especially regarding dietary restrictions. The food here are literal works of art, as they have their own flair attached to them: The Shitake spaghetti plate has a couple of vegan flags, while the Vegan Lasagna literally looked like a sculpture! Everything was delicious and flavorful. The mocktails are very refreshing and tasty too, and there's also custom coffees available for those looking for that too!The downstairs market is quaint, and with plenty of merchandise which form what I could tell was mostly local which was a huge plus. If some weren't local, they definitely were at least either vegetarian or vegan! There's also the downstairs eating area & bar, and an outdoor eating area which I didn't get to experience this time.Overall, this is a fantastic place to have dinner! It can be a bit on the pricier side for some, but it is definitely worth the experience in my eyes, even just for the culinary creativity!
Food was great - we were sitting outside so only could choose from the New Burger menu. There are apparently 3-restaurants-in-1 with different menus (others include Mexican and Italian). It was lovely looking out on the water while dining on a hot summer night. Had the truffle burger, the mushrooms were a little tough but the beet ketchup that came with the fries was pretty out of this world! Tried some of my friend's kale quinoa salad which was absolutely delicious!! Service was friendly.
Wow, this was so good! This is not really a food hall or food court, it is three separate sit-down restaurants. All have only plant-based vegan menus. We chose New Burger, and ate outside under the tent. The cauliflower buffalo wings were AMAZING, better than most chicken wings. Onion rings, sweet potato fries, and Caesar salad were all scrumptious as well. We got a local draft beer and alcoholic kombucha which paired perfectly. As a meat-eater, I would come here all the time for scrumptious vegan food if we lived close!Everything is clearly marked for those who need specific dietary restrictions.
Let me begin by saying I’m neither vegan nor vegetarian. The thought of fake meat has never appealed to me.. but when I’m Rome.,as they say. Well our waiter at Plant City assured me that the PC Ruben would taste as good as a “real” Ruben and truth be told it was as good as any Ruben I’ve had.
Next level vegan goodness. So many options. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff.
We had tried other vegan places recently and decided to make a reservation at this place after driving past it a couple of times. We reserved at the 'New Burger' section. When we arrived, there was little to no parking. Luckily, one of the handicap spaces was available up the street, and since I am handicap, we parked there. However, I will state here that if it were not for that available space, I would have kept driving past yet again as I cannot walk too far and there was a total lack of parking overall. After being seated, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for our waitress to finally acknowledge our table. We placed our orders, and I had the 'Truffle' burger while my husband had the 'Barbeque' burger, and we shared an order of onion rings. All the food was delicious. We ordered the 'Churros and Chocolate' for dessert, and unfortunately, that took too long, as the waitress finally explained, that they only had two fryers for all the sections. Those were decent, nothing to write home about. Overall, the food was rather tasty, and we hope to try the other sections soon.
very tasty food. a confusing set up however, with 3 different menus. Fortunately, the server explained it to me patiently. nice setting on patio area. efficient service. definitely worth visiting.
We were on vacation and decided to try the Italian corner. We ordered margherita pizza and pasta dish. Never thought that pizza can taste so bad. Tasteless sauce, rice something cheese and soggy bread. My wife got a pasta dish that tasted as bad as pizza. On top of it all, they ran out of parmesan cheese. Pasta was supposed to come with parmesan cheese. And they ran out of ingredients for a cocktail that I ordered. This was Sunday afternoon, July 3rd. Imagine running out major ingredients on top of serving lousy food. First and last time at this place.
I had the opportunity to eat at Plant City while spending a nite in Rhode Island recently, and I have to say it is a vegans paradise! Usually at restaurants I have such a small amount of options to choose from. Plant city had the entire menu to choose from! I was in heaven. The cauliflower wings appetizer was DELICIOUS! I tried the truffle burger and it was such a pleasant experience with every single bite. Tiramisu for desert was the perfect ending to the meal. They also have a section inside where you can buy vegan groceries! I loved having so many options to choose from all in one place. I wish that there was a plant city in every city!
